But more'n likely he'll take it and learn to like it, just like the good lord taught him.

Last season, Bron against Iggy:
29.0 ppg/9.3 rpg/7.3 apg/5.3 topg/38.0 FG%/18.1 3P%
He may have had a triple double against him last time they met, but Iggy usually holds his own pretty well.

Re: 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants
Should be a good contest, but I'd like to see DMase back as well, he's even a better dunker now than when he was in 2001-2003.
I'm sure Lebron didn't mean what he said, though he should've put it in better terms...

The field goal percentage is low. But if 29/9/7 is Iggy's version of holding someone...well then blarmy. It's no wonder both DWade and Lebron have had some of their best games of the season against him.
Did you watch him against Philly this last time? He abused Iggy like a grown man does a red headed step child. It was embarrassing to watch. You wanted to run out and say stop the fight. There was one play where Iggy finally got loose and dunked it in the paint and was acting like he had won the world. Lebron just scowled and proceeded to go off on him and finish up the Cavs come from behind victory. Iggy is an overrated defender who hasn't added much to his game this season. He still has potential, but it's fast running out. A dunk comp is the only way he's getting to all-star saturday. Players like Iggy get mad because they get spurned for the dunk comp, while players like Lebron turn down the dunk comp.
Iggy needs to stop working on dunks, and start working on his game some more.

Asking Lebron to be in the comp is like asking Charles Barkley to be in it. Sure Chuck had some monster in-game dunks. But he wasn't ever doing anything creative. Lebron's not a dunk comp guy. He's a triple double kind of guy. A pass pass pass kind of guy. He lays it up more than he dunks it. Everyone can dunk, but not everybody can finger roll. Lebron can finger roll.

Lebron is a triple double kind of guy? Umm in 3 seasons in the NBA I'm sure he doesnt even have 10 yet right ?
A triple double kind of guy for the modern era is Jason Kidd. A triple double kind of guy is Oscar Robertson. James is a solid all around player, but I don't put him in Kidd's TD class. Of course he isn't even close to the Big O.

Re: 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants
Actually I just looked at the box scores from last year's Philly-Cavs games. He had one completely awful 3-20 night where he only scored 16 points. The rest of the games he was over 30 points with high assist and rebound numbers. So it seems to be par the course for him to destroy Iggy. Who I like as a player, btw. But you guys can't act like any of these guys can actually do something about being offended. Most of them are probably friends with Lebron anyways. Iggy and Lebron did a TV show together in the offseason. Lebron's good friends with Jamal Crawford and Eddy Curry, so I'm sure he's friends with Nate Robinson. All of these guys know each other. So I doubt any offense was meant or taken.

And LBJ should work on his defense, or atleast attempt to play some.

You might want to take a look at who are the triple double leaders this season before you go around shooting your mouth off that Lebron isn't in Jason Kidd's class.

So should Iggy. When's the last time he locked someone down? Defense is supposed to be his calling card, but he's not even spectacular at that.

Iggy atleast plays defense, LBJ just plays at one end of the floor.

Shooting my mouth off again....
These guys define the Triple Double not Lebron James.
Oscar Robertson 181
Magic Johnson 138
Wilt Chamberlain 78
Larry Bird 59
Jason Kidd | |
