Yes I do.

Kind of weird seeing an actual post about the actual dunk participants in the dunk contest thread.

I thought we were taking about Lebron, who isn't in the comp, and his triple double ability, which has nothing to do with dunking at all really...

What a screwy little thread. Probably gonna have to move some posts.

Re: 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants

I think it should be a really exciting dunk contest. I missed it last year, but I'm really eager to tune in and watch this year. Josh Smith is incredible, and I guess he'd have to be the favorite again this year. He's one of those guys that can grab quarters off the top of the backboard! I'm sure he's got something great in store again this year. Also, having a little guy like Nate Robinson in the contest is awesome. Memories of Spud Webb's incredible dunk contest victory will be on my mind while I watch him.

I must be the only one who thought Josh Smith dunks were way too simple, without creativity and all the same with some tweaks.
I'll go with one of the other 3 guys.

Wow I agree with BigAmare! I don't get why J. Smith gets so much credid, either. I really like Warrick but he is 6'9'' not good thing, but I belive that iit will be interesting to wach.

We allready got the point, you hate Bron. He doesn't play defense? Have you seen him this year? I guess no... He really has improved his defense and still does everithing on offence. I don't get all the Iggy hype he is scared on offence he doesn't step up when hes team needs him, yes he can play defense but he can concretrate his energy on it also this is big factor (if you dont belive that this is factor explane why Kobes defence is worse then it was few years ago), he has all the potential in the world but hes head is holding him back, jet he gets no hate, oh I get he can dunk...

Josh Smith is the man, but you are right. He won last year because he flat out could jump out of the gym. But this year, he's not the most athletic guy there, so his lack of creativity is going to hurt him.

Re: 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants

Nate Robinson should win.

But what I would really like to see again is Mason vs Richardson: I don't know why no one talks about that dunk off they had a few years back - that was the best in terms of two guys actually competing against each other since MJ and Nique.

VC/Richardson/Mason/Nate Robinson/Smith - now that would be a true competition.
