Re: 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants

Seems like Iggy is the only one not talked about winning this competition. Iggy is ungodly athletic and I think he will pull something out of his hat to wow the fans and judges.

Also this is sort of off topic, but Iggy's brother who played for Dayton broke his tooth on the rim in their Midnight Madness competition. With that said Iggy is a better athlete and hopefully he puts on a great show. I saw him at the U of A and if you can beat Hassan Adams in a dunk contest I think he can beat Warrick and Robinson. J-Smoove is another story.

Re: 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants

This contest has definitely been watered down over the years. I honestly can't tell you who was in it the last couple of yrs....?? But I'll be tuning in to see Iggy bring down the house.

If the NBA wants LeBron, Jrich, Kobe, and Vince to compete, they should come up with something like rewarding the slam dunk winner $500,000 to their favorite charity, runner up will get $100,000, and so on...
NBA players don't need the cash, but something like this might encourage more stars to compete. Just an idea, you reading this David Stern?

Go 6ers!

Agreed, I didn't really want to see him in there.
His McDonalds All-American dunk contest wasn't all that impressive.

I am really looking forward to this year's dunk contest. I want to see what Nate Robinson can do.
