Re: NBA Thursday TNT - Cavaliers at Heat & Spurs at Warriors
And that's your game. I doubt Lebron comes back in the game now. Mourning basically single-handedly locked the Cavs down. And then they ran out of gas.
Oh well. Didn't really expect to win this one. Miami isn't like New Jersey for the Cavs. They don't have some crazy psychological edge on the Cavs. Two pretty evenly matched teams that I think if they played in the playoffs would go 7 games.

Wade accomplished this in two consecutive series in the 2005 playoffs.
2. Joined Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, and Allen Iverson as the only players ever to record games of 40+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 15+ assists in the same playoff season in 2005.
3. Holds the record for being the only player in NBA history to ever average at least 30 points on 69.5 field goal percentage for four consecutive NBA playoff series games (5/23/06-5/29/06). The last record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 63%. Wade accomplished it with less than 20 field goal attempts per game
4. Fifth player in NBA history with at least 30 points, 15 assists and 5 rebounds in a playoff game (5/10/05 vs. WAS). The others are Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Walt Frazier and Oscar Robertson.
5. One of four players in NBA history to have at least 30 points and 12 assists in three consecutive games (November 24-27, 2006). The others are Oscar Robertson, Nate Archibald, and Kevin Johnson. [5]

Kind of what I'm talking about, people just aren't paying attention in my opinion, for whatever reason. Wade is 3rd in PER, only LeBron and Kobe ahead of him. Plus he is a better defender than LeBron. The stats are definitely there and he is a good defender. Miami is better than both the Lakers and Cavs. Wade is easily a top 5 candidate, more realistically top 3 at this point.

Yeah exactly, Kobe and Lebron both have better stats than him. Wade doesn't play significantly better defense than either, no matter how many times you say it. And the Cavs and the Heat for all intents and purposes have the same record.
But if your arguement is just team record than Dirk, Billups, and Nash are ahead of him.
Realistically Wade is only an MVP candidate if you're the type of person who needs ten players for your MVP candidates. But he has basically no real chance to win it. He just hasn't done enough to attract the type of attention needed to win the MVP.
