Nellie Getting Ready To Return?

Quote:
ESPN - Multiple Don Nelson associates informed ESPN.com that the 65-year-old has dropped hints about a willingness to take another job after sitting out the rest of this season. A couple of those same associates say it won't happen unless someone out there offers Nelson an annual salary of at least $5 million, but you can be certain someone will.

Wilt once said he'd average 70 ppg in the modern-day NBA because defenses were so much worse. Pippen once said KG was a stats guy who disappears down the stretch of games. Bill Walton once said Rasho was a better interior defender than Tim Duncan because Tim Duncan was on the bench at the time. Barkley once said Argentina was located north of the Indian ocean.

I went to the Sonics Warriors game last night, and I just don't understand it. Mike Montgomery's Stanford teams couldn't possibly have been coached more differently than this Warriors team. Its Team Chuck. I know that w/ B-Diddy and J-Rich that's gonna be the natural inclination you get, but you'd think Monty would at least try to get them to move the ball around and work it inside before they launch their 22+ footers.

Yeah watching a Warriors game is like watching a pickup game. It's like these guys have never played with each other ever before. There doesn't appear to be a discernable system.

Re: Nellie Getting Ready To Return?

well good luck with nellie, he's a good coach but he doesn't equate into instant champs. He should retire though the man has done everything that he could have.
