Re: Clippers: 2nd best frontcourt in the NBA?
Pardon me,but didn't Elton Brand completely dominate the Denver Nuggets home and home about ten days ago.In fact he shot almost seventy percent in
the game at Denver

True... but with Camby just returning from his injury (and barely able to be effective) and Maggette out for the Clips its not really fair to say that one team is better than the other in the frontcourt when neither was at full strength.

Please explain how Chris Kaman is so much better than Thomas that he makes a better trio with Brand and Magette than Thomas with Amare and Marion. You realize that's around 30rpg between Thomas, Amare and Marion and easily over 50ppg.
Chris Kaman had a few big game in between now but so had Thomas before. Their stats are very close and intagnibles would favor Thomas I believe, see charges drawn.

So Elton Brand would have dominated the Nuggets less if Maggette had been healthy?Denver just flat out could not stop Elton and nobody else has done much better in the last two weeks.

Re: Clippers: 2nd best frontcourt in the NBA?
Amare, Marion and Thomas is a great trio, but it's not really a trio to me. It's like saying Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr is a better duo than Amare and Marion, but in reality, it's not the duo that's better, it's just that Jordan is so great himself that it carries the duo. Amare and Marion carry the trio.
The Pistons and Nuggets have the best frontcourt trios, when healthy.

i see that no one has been really watching kaman for the last 20 games. he has been a consistant 16/12 and shooting above 50%

Yes, they have the second best frontcourt behind Rasheed and Ben Wallace.

The Wallace's carry the Pistons trio, Brand carries the Clippers trio..
3 of those 4 trios have 2 allstar or near allstar lvl guys when healthy. Wallace/Wallace, Marion/Amare and to a lesser extent Melo/Camby altough neither has been an allstar.

I didn't say that... I just stated that neither Denver nor LA were at full strength in the frontcourt so those two games do not provide solid evidence that the Clips have a better frontcourt than the Nuggets do.
as for Maggs being healthy:
the Clips lost by 10 to the Nuggets earlier in the season when the Clips were at full health and Camby didn't even play.
The Clippers have an entirely different style of play when they have Maggette as an offensive option so that there is a lot less emphasis on placed on posting up.

Re: Clippers: 2nd best frontcourt in the NBA?
Pistons have the best front court trio... efficient and best shut down front court trio in the entire world.
Talent wise, Nuggets have the most talent at the front court; Melo, Martin and Camby.

Re: Clippers: 2nd best frontcourt in the NBA?
What if the Suns started Diaw, Marion, and Stoudemire in the frontcourt? Then the Suns would be better than the Clipper in the front court.
Shaq, Haslem, and Walker is also up there with the Clippers. (Keyword: a healthy shaq)
