Re: Why hasn't the All-Star team been expanded to 14?
Listen, in a league of about 300 players, do we really need 28 all-stars? That's a tenth of the NBA (that actually plays) being voted in as an all-star.

yeh i agree expand the teams to 14 players, that way we can have dwight howard writing humerous blogs about encounters with fans and his desire to never play in a russian all star game.

I think the all star teams should be only have 10 players, so I can say I disagree with the orginal post. The problem with the all star game is it has become to watered down by average talented players who are having good statistical seasons.

I'd rather see the roster amount go down to 8, it would make for a hell of a game. Plus you won't have to see 100 substitutions in attempt to share the minutes.

True to an extent, but these are the players who have a decent 8+ year NBA career and gets selected on 1-2 All Star teams. It's pretty fair.

Actually, I think we should just except the fate that there will be snubs every single season. Exanding the rosters out will just allow the coaches to vote guys like Tayshaun Prince in, who have no business being there in the first place. It would be used to springboard the guys on winning teams instead of the studs playing on bad teams.

Care to name some of these players, and care to tell us when the All-Star game didn't include "average talented players who are having good statistical seasons?"

It makes no sense either. Those guys rewards should be that they are on good teams. Like Nash taking the MVP last year, if you don't deserve it, you don't deserve it and people see right through that.
