Oh man do we know if Sir Charles would play? What a slap in the face of a legend right there not asking Barkley but Howard, Miller, Oden and more.

You saw the Olympics, and you came away with that opinion of Iverson?

OK...

That's funny - I didn't know Barkley is having the best season of his career.

Agreed. Iverson was the only one who came to play for the Olympics. it was obvious if you watched the games. He wanted to prove something, and he has great respect for his country. I can't believe he is getting snubbed like this.

Top 5 in assists this season, top 10 last season... While playing for the 76ers... I mean come on with this better distributors bull. The olympics he and duncan were the top performers and the only reason I kept watching the heartless team.

Also, using your logic then they have the distributors and shooters - but what good is that when you don't have scorers. Allen Iverson is a scorer, surround him with talent like what will be on the U.S. National team and you have a dangerous guy that can ball handle, and have a reason to dish out the ball, and if need be.... score points at his own will..

Let's not forget he has something that most NBA players lack, and that's Defensive pressure as he's been in the top in steals per game as well...

This is a mockery and shows the state of NBA US basketball, that the heart and soul of the last olympic team and one of the best players in the NBA now and past is not invited to play when he has said that he wants to represent the US....

Re: A.I. Snubbed in the Olympics

What if the AI-less team actually wins the gold metal? Would that make this look less snubby?

I feel the new team can do just fine without AI or with AI. I also think with Kobe/Lebron and even Chris Paul on the team, we need less AI. We'll see how those young players turn out in 08.

Re: A.I. Snubbed in the Olympics

you're right.. All I need to see is Lebron sitting on the bench again biting his nails not caring one flip about what's going on in the game. I loved watching the last team enjoy there vacation instead of play basketball. AI deserves it out of the respect - respect for the way he carried himself and performed in Olympics. And some people are talking like he's too old and way past his prime..... I mean seriously.

I do hope the U.S. wins, even if they do I still think it's a snub that AI wasn't invited. Maybe in a couple of years Lebron will be able to make a clutch shot or handle pressure and take the reigns. But I'm a firm believer that you win now to keep winning later and I think AI wins now, and can be an influential leader for the young guns to win later.

Re: A.I. Snubbed in the Olympics

All this talk about him not being all that good at PG, Im sure he is more than qualified to atleast be on the bench.

And if you diagree because you think he lacks enough talent, then I say he should be on the team for atleast being the only one who tried hard in o4

Iverson should have at least been called to work-outs to SEE if he could distribute the ball to the rest of the roster...it's downright insulting because unlike other superstars, he took the initiative to go after playing for Team USA...it's just sad really..as for you and your biased opinions towards anyone not in a Suns uniform, just shove it up Amare's ***...you should go back to fellating him, just to make sure he'll be back safe and sound...

Kobe did too.
