Re: For all the knocks about Wade's long-range shot...
Why's everybody jumping on Nugzfan, he explained what he said clearly but you guys are trying to argue against him with something he didn't say. As great as Wade is, and he's a star with or without Shaq, it would be ludicrous(sp.) to say that Shaq doens't make life easier for Wade. Think of it this way, if Shaq isn't there the Heat would have to play Zo at the spot, which means his backup would be Doleac, now when Doleac is in the game do you think that his man is actually gonna guard him or help out tremendously on Wade. When Shaq's there his defender can't cheat off him because Shaq's too good and he would burn them if he wasn't guarded. This help Wade because Shaq' man stays at home and opens up the floor for him. If Shaq's not there the court would get crowded right away wherever Wade was and it would make it harder for him to do what he does best.

Re: For all the knocks about Wade's long-range shot...
I dont know Wade was scores more when Shaq is not in the game, I no longer beleive that Shaq makes everyone better anymore. Do the Spurs,Dallas,Nuggets, and the Pistons double team him anymore??
As good as Shaq is he no longer commands double team or even triple team most of the time even Okur can guard him one on one, sadly Wade has to learn to play with a old not dominant Shaq.
Shaq lost his peak in 2003, i can gurantee you Wade plays better when Zo is in the game than Shaq in.

If Shaq wasn't there, Zo wouldn't be there either. Remember Zo wants to be on a Championship contender and w/out Shaq they're not so they would be really weak at the center position thus resulting in lower field goal % for DWade.

Re: For all the knocks about Wade's long-range shot...
not only did Zo want to be on a championship contender team but he also wanted to finish off his carreer in Miami.
Wade without Shaq can pretty much average the same field goal percentage, remember Wade rookie season he had an 46%FG

It takes a while for the rest of the league to catch on to a really good player's game. Without really good big men in Shaq and Zo, defenses would be loading up big time on Wade. Even if Shaq is not the player he used to be, no defender with half a brain leaves Shaq alone to double anyone else. And Zo is still a force inside, partly because he intimidates the refs and gets away with stuff lesser known big men don't get away with. Its not just drawing defenders -- its also about screening around the paint (moving screens near the basket rarely get called and never get called against star players like Shaq and Zo). Put Shaq and Zo together and Miami has the best center combination in the league. Its a huge benefit for Wade in terms of opening the lane to do what he does.

nobody is jumping on Nugzfan. All I have been saying from the beginning is 1) Wade is a great player in his own right, he has established that. The logic of him relying on Shaq only works 2 years ago, 2)playing with any good and great players will help you no matter what, so it's not just Shaq, 3)the way he brought it up make it look like Wade depends on Shaq, and 4)like I said at my previous post, his wording is the problem
again, if you really don't think Wade can stand on his own feet, then you haven't been watching the Heat games. That's not an insult, it's a fact

the reverse is just as true: wade makes the game easier for Shaq and Zo. Heck, Wade mades the game easier for the whole Miami Heat
