How about...

Antoine Walker-PG
Dirk Nowitzki-SG
Kevin Garnett-SF
Amare Stoudemire-PF
Tim Duncan-C
OMG u have Antoine Walker in the pg spot...other players may never see the ball.

Yup Dirk needs to move to SF, KG to PG, and Antoine to SG/chucker.

Walker would be the best at bringing up the ball though, I don't see Dirk or KG bringing it up, man imagine the TO.

I don't think there's anyone in the NBA short of Michael Sweetney that could take an elbow from a prime, limb swinging Malone. Boris Diaw? He'd get snapped in half.
lol whats ur point??? i doubt penny hardaway would do alot do alot better from the pgs list, or tmac on the sgs for that matter

As you can tell, I need a bunch of help in filling some pretty glaring holes (Dantley at C for the SG position?), so help is appreciated.

Swingmen go into either category.

PG:

PG: John Stockton
SG: Allen Iverson
SF: Oscar Robertson
PF: Penny Hardaway
C: Magic Johnson

SG:

PG: Dwyane Wade
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Michael Jordan
PF: Tracy McGrady
C: Adrian Dantley

SF:

PG: Scottie Pippen
SG: Larry Bird
SF: Grant Hill
PF: Dominique Wilkins
C: Larry Johnson

PF:

PG: Kevin Garnett
SG: Connie Hawkins
SF: Dirk Nowitzki
PF: Karl Malone
C: Tim Duncan

C:

PG: Arvydas Sabonis
SG: Kareem Abdul Jabbar
SF: Wilt Chamberlain
PF: Hakeem Olajuwon
C: Shaquille O'Neal

I think the power fowards definitely take it, followed by the point guards and small forwards, respectively. I wouldn't want to trot out the centers or the shooting guards though.
The SG's would be the worst team by far. You have nothing but scorers on that list. MJ/Kobe/T-Mac especially could never share the ball with one another.

I say the SF's would win because they have players with all-around good games. They have a great shooter in Bird, 2 do-everything players in Pippen/Hill, an athletic PF in Dominque, and I guess Larry Johnson could do alright at Center, he was pretty big.

Which is better? I still think your PF lineup takes it.

Re: Lineups out of one position

Nothing would beat:

Centers
PG- Boris Diaw - moderate handling and nice court vision
SG- Mehmet Okur - Provides the outside game
SF- Ben Wallace - Gaurds ANY offensive threat
PF- Brad Miller - This team needs a complimentary player w/ good hands. Defense and offense is set.
C- Shaq- Hes Shaq

Also:

Point Gaurds:
PG Earl Boykins
SG Allen Iverson
SF Steve Nash
PF Tony Parker
C Jason Kidd

They'll basically turn it into a marathon
