***Your NBA History All-Time NBA Defensive Team?***
Who would be your All-Time Defensive team consisting of a coach with five players that you believe could play that position. For example, I would put Hakeem as a PF because I believe he was fast enough to guard PFs and definitely strong enough.
And...What would be your all-defensive team right now with currently active players and active coach. Say this defensive squad is the one you would have playing NBA Finals Defense. Who would you choose?
PG - Gary Payton
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - Dennis Rodman
PF - Hakeem Olajuwon
C - Bill Russell
Coach - Pat Riley
Current
PG - Jason Kidd
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - Ron Artest
PF - AK47
C - Marcus Camby
Coach - Gregg Pop
What are yours?

My bad, didn't realize the second list was current players.
Either way, no Scottie? Psh.

One on one, even one on two, when the guy they call the Answer is on a one-way trip to the basket, you better just foul him. People can hate all day about the number of shot attempts. But, damn, give him props for even getting them up. He's small enough to have every shot contested. That 39% shooting sounds terrible to the regular reader, but have you seen these NBA players lately?"

D.Robinson

You gotta start with Payton, Jordan, and Pippen on the perimeter. No players have more 1st team all NBA defensive team selections than those three. In the front court, I would take Rodman at the 4, and Bill Russell at center. Coach - Auerbach
Current teams I take Wade and Kobe in the back court. Artest and Duncan at the forward spots, and Ben Wallace at center. Coach - P. Jackson
