Honestly, this has reached a whole new level of fun. Kobe jock-swingers are great, they CAN'T let anything go. Reminds me a lot of Patriot fans when you bring up Tom Brady's fumble.

What reason and logic? If you guys would actually use reason and logic rather than insults and mockery I wouldn't have a problem with what you say. I'm not arguing that they're right. For there ever to be a reasonable discussion both sides are going to have to look at it logically. But right now Kobe threads are some of the dumbest out there. There's hardly ever a good point brought up either way. It's just lovers vs haters. People may write off all reason and logic, but that's no excuse not to use it. Don't stoop to their level.

That's a flat out lie.

There's no hope for any Kobe thread. And it's the fault of both sides.

It's impossible to use reason and logic in the face of irrational thinking. I've tried. That's why I usually try to keep my responses short in these threads.

True, it takes both sides which is why it's an incredible waste of time, because neither side is ever going to reason with each other when talking about a player that brings out more emotion in people than any player in NBA history.

Well you can't use reason and logic when arguing against ignorance. I try to stay out of these threads, and dip in with short sarcastic remarks, because that's all that fits in these type of threads for me. If you get sucked into arguing in one of these Kobe threads, nothing positive comes from it.

Anyways, Kitty said it best. This thread is lacking facts, lacking intelligent discussion (because the topic doesn't allow for it) and it's just turned into your typical Kobe thread. Just a matter of how many pages now. I've said all I want to say. There is no hope for this thread.
I'll give you some facts.

The fact of the matter is Kobe is the leader on the Lakers. The fact is that Kobe walked off the court when game seven concluded without shaking anyones hands. The fact is Kobe was displaying a great deal of unsportsmanship when he did this. The fact is Kobe, leading by example, either directly or at the very least indirectly encouraged his teammates to do the same thing. The fact is a leader of a basketball team, who is trying to show why he's the best player in the game, cannot face up to losing.

The fact is Steve Nash is the MVP of this league, not Kobe Bryant.

I am totally indifferent to Kobe, I'm not a hater nor a groupie

I can appreciate his greatness, aswell as shake my head at some of his questionable moves....

and game 7 was a complete mystery to me, I could have sworn that halfway through 2nd half that Kobe decided that he would rather be with his newborn than playing any further in the playoffs, JMHO.

No, it's not. Obviously you're not going to be able to convince them that they're wrong, that's why you say it's impossible. But that's no excuse for not trying.

So rather than making an effort to improve it you choose to just perpetuate the situation? That's unfortunate.

I've tried arguing with my fair share of ignorant *******s, trust me, I know the feeling. But that doesn't mean you should start being ignorant yourself. Don't stoop to their level. If you're going to make posts about something you should use always reason or logic. Once you've made all your points and they still won't budge, then you've done all you can do. If you don't want to waste your time to start with that's understandable, but that's still no reason to not think logically.

It absolutely is not. It's truly sad if you believe that. Take a step back and look at what you said. You're suggesting that 90% of people absolutely hate and despise Kobe and will believe anything negative said about him. Think about that man. On an nba.com poll 17% voted Kobe as MVP. So half of them would automatically believe that? And that's only if everybody who voted for somebody else believed it. 10% is stretching it, 90% is just insane.
