• As you'd imagine, there was some interesting Kobe chatter in the desert in the wake of Game 7.

One story circulating among the Suns is that Bryant strongly encouraged teammates not to linger on the floor after the final buzzer for post-series handshakes. Suns ex Jim Jackson was one of the few Lakers who did stick around to congratulate his ex-teammates, as well as the L.A. coaches. "I got the handshake I wanted," said Suns forward Tim Thomas, referring to Lakers coach Phil Jackson, whom Thomas called "a legend."

Guess who's getting traded in the off-season?

Kobe might have been great at one point, and he has potential to still be, but a truly great player does NOT refuse to help his young teammates in the biggest game of their young careers, setting them up to shoulder the blame, while encouraging them, at least by example (I must note that local reports are saying that Kobe enouraged his teammates verbally to do like he did), to walk away without congratulating the team that whupped him fair and square. Something that even the heinous Ron Artest, and the much maligned Dennis Rodman have been able to do.

Kobe was just protecting his teammates. With Nash always licking his fingers, who knows what kind of diseases he might be spreading. Kobe is a great thinker, always 1 step ahead, people need to realize this!

So that makes it a FACT that Kobe told teh rest of his team to not stick around? Players walk off hte courts all the time, just because it was the Lakers, it was because Kobe told them to?

You know how people that Kobe's haters talk about him a lot more than this fans, yet hilariously whine the most about how he's always talked about?

This thread is all sorts of embarrassing. Third-hand accounts of something Kobe may or may not have done. It's painful to me as a human being to know this thread was even created.

We know Kobe didn't stick around to shake the Suns' hands. That's old news. Just because his teammates didn't, they must have been following Kobe's lead? And even if that was the actual reason they walked off the court and not anger and frustration (tell me which is more likely), that's his fault? They're all adults who can think for themselves, and act on their own behalf. You really think that not only did Kobe have the balls to actually tell a group of professional basketball players not to shake the opposition's hand after the game, but they did exactly what he asked?

I used to think that Kobe hate just bordered on the absurd. That border's long gone.

Please, I don't think there's anybody that whines more than you about anything Kobe-related. Or at least it seems that way the past week or two. What's the over/under on how long it takes Sir Patchwork to find this thread and laugh off anything negative said about Kobe as "hater". So predictable.
