What Makes Tyson Chandler Special!!!!!
People on this board say he is not 7-1 and just over 7-0 maybe 6-11. Although some have said he is 7-2. What Makes him Special he is tall but he has really short arms only a 7-1 wingspan same as his height. Small Hands. People always say he is mechanical and THE GOODS thinks he is not athletic at all. i mean he could be a poor mans Marcus Camby. Someone tell me what spepartes him form other 7 footers like KG , Bender, Gasol, Clark if there are any. From what i have heard he isn't as athletic as any of these guys.

Chandler is 7'2, and he has fairly long arms. And don't kid yourself- he is very athletic. He does have small hands though- he is not and probably will never be an offensive stud, as he cannot palm the ball from what I've seen. He does, however, still seem to have rather good touch around the basket- if he gets the ball moving towards the basket he usually finishes one way or another. He is beginning to develope a decent mid-range J and is becoming a rather good passing big man. His biggest value though is defense and rebounding. He is already the Bulls' best defensive player, as he is an excellent shot-blocker (either he or Yao will lead the league in this category one day). And he's a good rebounder- there's really noone who can go up and get a rebound over him.
I doubt we'll ever see Chandler average more than 12-15 ppg, but he may also get 13-14 rebounds a game and a couple assissts. The actual number of blocks he gets is pretty irrelevant- like any true shot-blocking presence, he alters the game with his mere presence on the floor. Is Chandler a special talent, a future perennial allstar? I don't think so, but I'd still take him on my team. And he's better than a "poor man's Marcus Camby".

I would say his name... I have heard of Chandler as a first name, and Tyson as a last name, but he is the opposite, so yeah, I would say his name.

Isn't your wingspan SUPPOSED to be the same as your height?

For most people it is. However, among basketball players it is common to have a wingspan a few inches longer than your height.
As for the pics, seven-footers should be able to dunk. Congratulations to him. I'm sure Dirk, Keon, Jermaine, and Kevin are quite jelous.
And one last thing, just something I've noticed. People have a tendancy to GREATLY overrate players. The Bulls are just an example, because people are doing it for every team. But lets look at some peoples predictions for the Bulls in about 3 years.
PG: Jay Williams - 17 - 20 PPG
SG: Jalen Rose - 20 - 22 PPG
SF: Carmelo Anthony - 27 - 29 PPG
PF: Tyson Chandler - 12 - 15 PPG
C: Eddy Curry - 25 - 30 PPG
These are around the predictions I've seen around the boards. So, among the Bulls starting 5, they're going to average between 101 and 116 points per game!?
Guys, lets be more realistic with predictions. This was not picking on someone, it's just something I noticed.
