Manu Ginobili vs. Wally Szczerbiak
Last year, in the NBA Finals, Marc Stein claimed Manu Ginobili was "better than anyone on the Pistons." A lot of people disagreed with that (to put it mildly). It was pointed out to (correctly, of course) that Ginobili was an All-Star. It was proposed that he'd go down as just another Wally Szczerbiak.
Well, given a year's worth of perspective, was Ginobili just a product of hype? Is he going to be another Wally Szczerbiak? Or has he really blossomed into a superstar who just happens to be plagued by injuries?

floppo is better than wally. all wally does is shoot. floppo can shoot, pass and flop.

Pistons > Ginobili > Wally
Is this what you wanted?

Ginobili is better than Wally, at least he's a presence on the other end of the court and can score in a lot more diverse ways.

Re: Manu Ginobili vs. Wally Szczerbiak
ginobli is way better, he can penetrate and hit the open man. wally only shoots. ginobli is also a better defender in every way.. especially in scramble defense.
so far in the playoffs, ginobli has probably played better overall basketball than anyone on the pistons, except for maybe tayshaun. ginobli is still a better offensive player than tayshaun though.

Wally is only a one dimensional player. Very good shooter, but thats about it. Manu can do way more things than Wally can and do them a lot better to. He isn't a superstar, just a very good ball player. Still annoys me to watch him though.

Neither. He's a superior player to Szczerbiak, but isn't close to being a superstar (healthy or not). He's not quite the shooter Szczerbiak is, but he's a more effective slasher and a far better defender. Ginobili is also a considerably better passer while being an equivalent rebounder.
Ginobili, in my opinion, is just below star level...one of the best complimentary players in the game and a borderline All-Star in a good year.

Agreed.
Ginobili is far better than Wally. I think he is on the same level with every player on the Pistons too. Not better but not really worse either.
