Hubie Brown's great. I'd rather have someone who agrees with the officials whenever possible than have one of the 14-year-olds on this site who bicker like little girls every time the whistle blows.
I haven't researched this or anything, but from what I read, I've noticed most the people who complain about Hubie on this board complain about most everything.
Maybe because I've heard too many of his press conferences over the past three or four years, but I just like hearing him talk.

Hubie Brown talks too much. Sure, he's got good things to say but damn he just keeps going on and on and on. I find it annoying after a while.

Well if those were the only 2 choices, then I'd probably go with Hubie as well. But the bickering 14 year-olds aren't exactly competing for NBA analyst jobs.
As it pertains to officiating, I'd rather have someone who calls it like it is. Hubie rarely criticizes bad calls, even when the replay he is supposedly watching suggests otherwise.

The problem with ABC is they tone down the colors of the game, making it more dull. They also turn down the microphones on the crowd so you can barely hear anything. It's really hard to watch.

Hubie talks too much and he talks in 2nd person! "You know you have this, and you know you're up 5, so you know you're going to..."
yeah whatever, enough with the 2nd person crap

Hubie Brown is one of the few sports announcers I can stand. He talks a lot, but that's the American style of announcing: no dead air. No matter who you watch, they're trying to fill every moment with chatter. At least Brown says a minimum of totally inane stuff and provides more analysis than other announcers.

That may be one thing that genuinely works against him. He can over-analyze at times. This is why I prefer Doug Collins and Steve Kerr. They have found a great balance between analyzing the game and being entertaining at the same time. I like Hubie a lot, but with him it feels like you're sitting in a classroom listening to a great lecturer talk.
