Re: Could Nash 3peat?

From Wikipedia
Quote:
Nash comes from an athletic family. His father John Nash was a minor league professional soccer player in South Africa. His brother Martin Nash has made 30 appearances for the Canadian national soccer team. His sister Joann was the captain of the University of Victoria soccer team for three years. Nash had decided to focus on basketball in his early teens, but still played soccer through high school, and was named British Columbia player of the year in soccer as well as basketball in his senior year.

Re: Could Nash 3peat?

Lets say the Suns do win around 60+ games..

And Nash somehow ups his stats to about 18 points and 13 assists... while still shooting as well.

Aren't those numbers elite elite?

To me, to get 18 points as well as contributing to atleast about 30+ points for the team... which make them succesful... thats MVP material..

Scoring crown does not = MVP.

Re: Could Nash 3peat?

For him to get 3 straight the Suns would have to win 70, and Nash would have to average 20+ and 12+. But I do feel he's been deserving the past 2 years. Yes, D'Antoni runs a great system and maximizes the players and we have great parts. But the past 2 years even with that great system, coach, and parts PHX is TERRIBLE when Nash isn't playing. That speaks volumes.
