Better draft: 2004 or 2005
Which was the stronger draft class?
It's actually kinda close.
2004 had Dwight Howard, and Ben Gordon. 2005 had Chris Paul, Raymond Felton, and Charlie Villanueva.
2004 or 2005?

Re: Better draft: 2004 or 2005
potientially the 2007 draft can be one of the greatest, we all know about Oden but it also could have Naoh who who have been a top 5 pick in this draft, Brendan Wright, Thaddeus Young, Kevin Durant,Josh mcrobert, all of those player could become superstars in this league but that's not in the choices so I like the 2004 nba draft but i only see 2 maybe 3 players becoming superstars and that's Shaun Livingston, Dwight Howard, and maybe Josh smith and it was also a very deep draft look at the players pick late in this draft Kevin Martin, David Harrison, Jameer Nelson. 2005 was alright but it was but i only see 2 big names in this draft and that's Marvin Williams and Chris Paul, it also had a good group of point guards. 2006 is the weakest one there's no real big name coming out of this draft, role players are going to be pick in the lottery, Bargnani might be good, i'm confident Rudy will be a good player but this draft is not strong at all, it's not very deep either.

how can you say the 2006 class is a weak class when none of the rookies have played yet in the nba? I thought the 2005 draft was kind of weak , Bogut has not justified the reason for being the # 1 pick

Re: Better draft: 2004 or 2005
I thought 2004 hands down, but then I looked back at both drafts. They are pretty even. But it still might be too early.
Because 2004, you got guys like Josh Smith and Shaun Livingston who have shown flashes of being great players. But they are only 20 years old, so it's still early.

Re: Better draft: 2004 or 2005
2005 will probably go down as one of the best if not the best draft ever for PG's but it is too early to compare 2005 and 2004. Obviously people think 2004 right now but that's because many rookies didn't get to play much. If you compare the quality of the rookie years of each class I'd say 2005 wins handily (Josh Smith, Howard, and the '04 PG's improved a ton this season).
