Jackson charged with criminal recklessness
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana Pacers guard Stephen Jackson was charged Wednesday with a felony count of criminal recklessness and two misdemeanor counts from last week's confrontation outside a strip club.

I knew he wasn't gonna get away scott free, I don't care if you have a gun permit and its self defense you will still get in some kind of legal trouble...I know of stuff like this happening before.

Charges will be dropped. Just another prosecutor trying to make a name for himself.
I mean they are doing DNA tests on a bag of weed that the cops have already said barely had enough in it to make 2 joints.

Why is he a thug? Because he carries a LEGAL gun? Because he went to help his teamate/friend in a fight? Because he is from Port Authur(land of the trill)? His hairstyle? His attire? The way he speaks? Sorry not everyone takes the Tim Duncan/Reggie Miller rout.

He's a thug because he's black.
Thats what you wanted to hear, right? I mean, seriously, why even act like you were coming from a different angle?
He's a thug because he's a totally inept idiot who makes poor decisions both on and off the floor, and presents himself, more often than not, in a less than positive light.
You don't have to be Reggie Miller or Tim Duncan to be considered anything but a thug, but there are certain limits as to what good people do. Discharging a gun in a city is one of those things.
Yeah, self defense, I get it. But what was he doing at a strip club at 2AM while his team was in training camp?

I would love to see Jackson get some form of punishment for this. Even some probation or community service. It probably won't happen. As a side note, why is it that once someone says he's a thug certain people automatically assume he/she is racsit and only saying that because he's black and because of they way he dresses. That doesn't make him a thug. Dwayne Wade is black, he dresses in baggy clothes and hoodies. So do alot of players in the NBA. They aren't THUGS and nobody characterizes them that way. Jackson is a thug and a blatant moron that deserves whatever he gets for his stupid actions.

It seems at though you missed my point completely...Why would I say he is a thug because he is black? Most of the NBA is black. So obviously thats not what I was trying to say.

I was going to just quote one post and call someone a racist idiot mother****er. But then more people posted than I could quote without a lot of effort, so I'll just blanket say this thread disapoints me, and I hope that YOU get your come uppance.
As for what Stephen Jackson was doing: avoiding becoming Paul Pierce or worse.
