Bosh easily? I don't think so. They way they are each playing right now, then yes.
I'd take EB, despite Bosh's hot start, unless, of course, each continue playing at their respective levels. However, nothing in Brand's career has led me to believe that he'll average 14/9 for an entire season.

"Kirilenko's eyes started to tear in the locker room as he talked in a shaky voice about his frustrations and inability to stop Pierce. He played just four minutes in the final quarter because of his inept defense, but his small consolation was that none of his teammates could do any better."

"I think he is at a point in his career where he gets very distracted by having a hand in his face."

They are not similar players in the least, but they put up similar numbers. Not this year, but I'm fairly certain Elton Brand will pick thuse numbers up through the season. Overall, I would give Bosh the edge as a player right now, but not by a large margin.
Before last year, Brand had never been on any winning teams, so I think he wins in the "winner" catergory, but not by a large margin again.
So far, they are even then. However, the big difference for me is the 5 years younger factor that Bosh has in his favour. If they were born on the same day, it would be a difficult decision. But that youth of Bosh gives the Raptors hope for now and the future. Not that Brand is old. He's just a lot oldER.
I think both players are about equal, so with that I'll take Bosh. The ironic part about this comparison is that people generally like to downgrade Bosh due to the Raptors woes, when Brand basically his entire career was always putting up good numbers on losing teams.

EB looked like he's back to playing like he did last year today.Hornets couldn't guard him at all. He's a much superior defender to Bosh, but aside from that it's pretty much a wash. The obvious thing is that Bosh can still get a lot better.
It's not the first time your *cough* particular *cough* ways to see the game of basketball puts us in opposite stands...
You're probably the type of guy who would take AK-47 over Melo', because he's a better defender while being an average offensive player to Melo being a below average defender and superb offensive player.
I'm a TO fan and I will still say that Brand is better right now, he was MVP candidate last season. I'm not sure Bosh is. If he keeps up this hot start, maybe.
I think 2-3 years down the road, Bosh might surpass Brand, but as of right now, Brand.
Brand IS the better defender. Not even close. Thanks to his gorilla arms.
Lebron is such a joke. He saw how much everyone loved Dwight and Nate's routine in the dunk contest and had to horn in on it and announce 364 days early how he would participate and get the spotlight on him. Then he wips it all up in a frenzy and backs out like a chump. I've been getting tired of LeBron's junk for a while now. This is just another reason to see this guy as a chump. Great ballplayer, insane talent, total chick.

Not really, no.
But i would take a sane Ron Artest over Carmelo any day of the week and twice on sundays...
