I think what he meant was that Orlando is such a deep team that even if a few players are having off nights, there is someone just as good behind them ready to step up. So, even if Nelson is having an off night, there is Arroyo right behind him who can come in and lead the team to victory. There is no "waiting" for someone to show up. Someone always does. Every game. Thats why they finished 16-6 last season and started 12-4 this season.

Who cares, it's the same thing as the jazz playing the magic in the finals, because neither is going to make it to the finals.

Right, because they will treat a finals game exactly like a regular season game.

Biased aye? Lets have a look at the ranks of these two teams in the major defensive stats:
Utah is:
#6 in Opp FG%
#17 in Opp PPG
#15 in BPG
#13 in SPG
#27 in Forced TOs
Orlando is:
#1 in Opp FG%
#2 in Opp PPG
#3 in BPG
#9 in SPG
#13 in Forced TOs
Wow, Orlando dominates Utah in EVERY catagory. And they're top 3 in the league in 3 of the 5.
In their last two road games, they've held two high scoring teams to 75 and 84 points. But I guess the game against the Jazz didn't count because the Jazz "didn't try". And I guess those defensive rankings don't count either because Orlando is in the Eastern Conference. OK you win. Orlando sucks. They're the worst defensive team ever. Utah would destroy them in 7 games even though Orlando made them look like a lotto team in 1. Dwight Howard is a phony. We better start looking at college players cause we're headed to the lotto again.

Re: Utah Jazz or Orlando Magic
Ummm, there is more to the game than defense. The Jazz have a good offense and a decent defense. Nevermind that they held the Spurs to 75 points last night, and Duncan scored a big 0 in the 4th quarter.
This thread is just silly.

Well, the Magic are like 1 or 2 in FG% and go to the line 3rd most in the NBA.

Re: Utah Jazz or Orlando Magic
How can Dwight Howard not be a superstar. He has been outstanding this season and played well against many established players. Its not his fault he only gets 9 shots a game and thus his scoring is only around 17ppg. Its not his fault Jameer Nelson is a horrible point guard, who can barely get the rest of his team involved. The magic play best when Arroyo is at the point, that is when their ball movement becomes superb. Jameer is a scoring punch of the bench, and thats it. They would be a better team if he was their 6th man (kinda like Gordon or Maggette). In the weak west, the Magic have a good oppourtunity to get a top 4 seed, but ultimately inexperience will be their end.
P.S. - Howard's 17 and 12 with a couple of blocks, would also mean that Boozer is a superstar with his 22 and 12 and couple of blocks. So maybe Howard isnt quite a superstar yet.

Dwight is averaging 2 bpg, and Boozer isn't even averaging .5 bpg. There is a HUGE difference defensively between Howard and Boozer.

And tonight they held the lakers to 132 points....
I wasn't trying to put down the Jazz's defense. They're obviously doing something right with their record. I'm just saying Orlando's defense is better.
