Future Stars
Who do you guys think out of last years rookie class will be the best.
Here's my top 10:
1 Tyson Chandler, showed signs of an all-star
2 Pau Gasol, can do it all
3 Eddy Curry, Next guy to compete with Shaq
4 Joe Johnson, Celts will wish they never gave him up
5 Tony Parker, Best PG in draft, a steal so late in 1 rd.
6 Andrei Kirilenko, not quite Dirk but will come close
7 Rich Jefferson, enough said
8 J Rich, will be a premier SG
9 Shane Battier, will be a good player for many years to come
10 Eddie Griffin, showed signs of greatness in college, can he do it here?
11 Jamaal Tinsley, an above average PG
12 Trenton Hassell, a 2nd rd. steal
Duds
Kwame Brown, ouch Korleone Young all over again
Troy Murphy, Same as Ryan Humphrey
Micheal Bradley, No Way
Steven Hunter, shoulda stayed in college
Gerald Wallace, Isaih Rider all over again
Average
B Haywood, A solid starter
K. Brown, hes got some hops
Loren Woods, an above average backup
Joe Forte, he'll be better than we think
Gilbert Arenas, An above average backup
Zach Randolph, wont get much PT in that loaded Portland lineup

You think Kwame Brown is a dud??????

How wrong you are. He is a athletic 6-11 220 PF that do it all, he can pass, run, jump, rebound, and has a nice touch. Just because he did not have a good rookie year doesn't mean anything! He will be a 15-20 point a game scorer and a 5-10 rebound guy in the future. He is the premire 4 in the East for the future. Oh yeah and his GM/coach is the greatest player in history of basketball in Michael Jordan. And if you think MJ can't be a good GM, just look at the talent he has on his team thanks to his work. Grizzard, Dixon, Hughes, Jeffries, Haywood, Brown, Hamilton, Lue, Thomas.........
I think that is pretty good. But I got off the subject, Kwame will be a very solid pro, not a dud, sorry! With the talent and wisdom that is on the Wizards team Kwame will develop very soon.

Are you kidding mw, Dixon was a terrible pick at 17, Jeffries isnt doing well in the summer league, and how can you say Jordan has been a great GM, we havent even seen half the players hes brought in play, and I know Larry Hughes hasnt met expectations. I honestly dont think Kwame will be good but that's my opininon.

In case you haven't checked Chandler is struggling in the Revue summer league , your list is all messed up Gasol rated behind Chandler ,Chandler's stats are barely better than Kwame's who didn't play hardley as much I think Kwame's going to be one of the best pf's in a few years and think him being picked ahead of Chandler was warranted. Man you have JRich on that list number 8 and Tinsely toward the bottom cmon man, Joe Johnson that high up man please above Tinsley and JRich not realistic Gasol was the best rookie last year but anyway those are your thoughts and thats cool , Eddie Curry I think is a better prospect than Chandler, Kwame Brown will be nice in a few years, you can't judge that on 1 year, and about Jordan, JJefries played well toward the end of the summer league, and Dixon was one of the better players in the summer league, Did you look at who was on the roster before Jordan took over how can you say he's not doing a great job we had no young talent now we have an abundance, we had bums Howard,Richmond,Strickland, he cleaned house and brought in young athletic talent he's doing a marvelous job,

As much as I hope his game develops into Dirk I doubt it. Have you watched him at all? Have you checked his stats? I think he will be a great player but Dirk is a poor comparison. Kirilinko and Dirk's strengths and weakness are exactly the opposite. Dirk strength is offense and his weakness is defense. Kirilinko's strength is defense and his weakness is offense. If you could merge these guys and not lose any stengths you would have one the greatest player ever. Kirilinko will never be the offensive force that Dirk is. He will develop an average offensive game and be one of the best shot blockers and defensive players in the league. Think Ben Wallace with a little better offensive game

Bringing up Chandler's stats from the Rocky Mountain Revue is pointless. He isn't there to show what he can do. He even said that he is just tying to help other guys shine and show what they can do. Kwame isn't a bust, but don't try and downgrade Chandler to give him a boost.

KC,
That is a mighty fine spin on what some have said are subpar games by Tyson. Apprently they were subpar enough to ask Tyson about it on ESPN.

They didn't say "So, you have bad stats, what's the reason?" They asked him what he is trying to accomplish in the summer league and that was his answer...

Somebody put this thread on hold because it is pointless right now.
To label anybody a bust from last years draft already is stupid. Sure, Gasol and Chandler look like terrific picks right now but things can change.
I bet you guys are the ones out their labeling Stromile Swift and DerMarr Johnson busts too. Let these kids develop and then we can see.

Hey UNCStateGuy,
They're just predictions, I just wanted to get other people's thoughts on how last years draft class will fare in a few years.
As for Kirilenko, I was comparing him to Dirk because as you know Dirk should have been a much higher pick and I think Kirilenko should have been picked in the lottery, I'm not saying he will play like Dirk.
