Re: Which birthyear has the best team?
Out of those teams, 76 obviously wins by default. I mean they only have two of the top 5 players in the league. Duncan and KG are just too good. Add Chauncey Billups who happens to be a member of adidas' 5ive also... a solid floor general and defender and a deadly shooter... Raja Bell would be the better option at this point at sg considering bonzi's been injured. Add Jamison in the mix and that's one scary lineup.
I also like the 82 team a lot. Arenas is underrated but is a legit superstar along with Dwyane Wade. STAT and Okafor makes a nice balanced tandem up front with Okafor anchoring the defense and STAT scoring like a maniac on offense. Gerald Wallace fills in nicely at the 3 spot.
The star laden 79 team looks pretty good too. don't count them out. that team has a lot of star players and a lot of depth. i actually like the idea of starting lewis or redd, moving artest to the 4 and brand to the 5.

Re: Which birthyear has the best team?
i truly don't know who i'd take. you could probably make a strong case for almost all of them ('83 might be the exception). the stars in the league today are well-distributed in terms of age. it's almost perfect distribution, in fact.
'84 is solid, but that's more due to the big three (lbj, bosh, melo). the rest are either in early development or banging on the door, but not quite inside yet.
'82 jumps out at me (dwyane, zero, amare, wallace) but the bench isn't quite up to snuff in terms of star power, save for parker (is he really an '82 kid? man, the guy seems really mature for his age).
'78 and '79 are hard to pick between, imo, but more because they're different than they are the same: '78 has more stars (kobe, dirk, jermaine) but '79 has a better 'bench' (rashard, redd, odom). depends on how you'd prefer to build your team, i guess- with depth or power.
---
but seriously, i didn't even know how young/old some of these players were. iverson's not even on the list? i guess it's his year off before georgetown that caused it ('it' being my surprise). and memo's only '79? man seems like he's been 40 years old for his entire life.
peace

Re: Which birthyear has the best team?
'78, '84, and '76 are the best.

Re: Which birthyear has the best team?
I felt certain I could find a team for me ('67), but all I can find is a bunch of spares.
Deion Sanders, Vin Diesel, Criss Angel, and Pamala Anderson - imagine them in a room together.
