Nothing is clear cut.. The Suns run the bottom feeders out of the building most games - good for them. Detroit doesnt really bring it against the garbage teams and show up against the top competition. And you have Nash and Dirk in your signature, this explains everything- its pretty clear and cut. Having the second best regular season record does not make you the second best team. Detroit looked unbeatable last season and we all know how that worked out for them. The Suns are not built for the playoffs and if their perimeter shooting is off they are screwed; especially against the elite teams in the league. Their defense is atrocious and they get away with as much reaching in as I've seen all season. They are the second best team according to ESPN, if you go by what you're told, best of luck to you.

I'd like to also take this moment to point out that Danny Ferry signed David Wesley instead of re-signing Flip Murray.
I know the Cavs have sorted out their SG position finally, but he sure would have been nice to have to start the season off.

Anyways. What this game illistrated, is that Phoenix still is going to have problems in the playoffs against teams like the Spurs, Mavs, and Pistons. Teams that can dictate the tempo to the Suns. Unfortunately for the Suns, two of those teams play in the West.

Dallas and the Spurs weakness leaves them vulnerable to the Heat, Cavs, and Kobe(maybe even T-Mac if he ever gets out of the first round).

The level of parity in the NBA today, with respect to who will win the title is pretty unprecendented. It's up in the air for a lot of teams.

That's great and all but you probably didn't comprehend my post; this wasn't a discussion over power rankings or what anyone's opinion was. At the end of the day, Phoenix is second overall in the regular season. There wasn't a mention of the playoffs other than to clarify that if the Pistons want to "beat" the Suns, they'll have to do it there. Otherwise, the Suns have the better record and the only thing that comes from being good in the regular season. Some home court advantage.

Now, if you want to construe my posts to the effect that I'm saying the Suns are going to win the championship, that's fine. Just don't expect any replies since it'd be a waste of time on my part. I already conceded something that shouldn't need to be conceded by anyone. That the Detroit Pistons had a statement game and played very well and won a game. Now, if you want to look further than that and say the Pistons are better than the Suns, that's your opinion, and at the end of the day, an opinion is worth nothing unless you're voting for a subjective award.

What's concrete is that the Suns are ahead of the Pistons. Understand? Thanks.
