Which teams will go after Telfair?

Yeah, this last incident isn't constructive PR, but he's still young and talented. I could see the following teams showing significant interest:

Atlanta
Dallas
Denver
Indiana (I know they're tired of off-court problems, but I have to imagine they'll consider him; I'm not sure their PG issues have been resolved)
Memphis
Milwaukee
Sacramento
Washington

Dallas has no reason to pick him up. Denver won't have enough PT for him (Blake and Iverson are great together). Indiana might be too afrad of Tinsley PT. 2. Memphis might not want his bad influence, plus their youngs are doing great. Sacramento already has one big troublemaker to deal with, and Washington isn't gonna let him have any PT.

Atlanta and Miwaukee seems logical. Also, might be wishful thinking, but NY could use him if Nate Robinson keeps his I-don't-care-about-the-score-as-long-as-I-get-on-the-3Ds attitude up.

Obviously, limited minutes would be available in Dallas, Denver, etc, but it he might want the stability. It would take pressure off him, if that's what he wants. Those teams would love him as a 3rd-string point.

But why would a contending team want someone who couldn't get minutes on the worst team in the league? I'm sure they don't need him. They are trying to win now, and don't have time to develop Telfair. Even for a low salary, the risk outweighs the reward.

Because, you know, he might shoot somebody.

I'd like him to go to a bad team, maybe a small market, where he won't be critized for being himself. Or, conversely, go to NY and put to spotlights on him like a deer. The city will scream the **** out of him if he puts a toenail out of line. Scare him into place.

Or, he could go to a small market team and get his confidence back, and prove to everyone that he belongs in the league, then go to NY. I think that would be ideal in the long term.

He is going to the Knicks. He is from New York. Isaiah is interested in EVERY BLACK FA there is. Stephon is his cousin. Isaiah Loves Black FA's. Isaiah is interested in all BLACK FA's.

Re: Which teams will go after Telfair?

I really hope he goes to the Hawks. I personally think it would be a good fit. But he's not a wing player so I'm not sure they'd have a roster spot for him.

He will hopefully be a Knickerbocker. If anything matures him, it will be playing alongside his 30 year old cousin.
