who will be better? Adam Morrison or Kyle Korver?

I lean towards Kyle Korver. I really like this guy as a role player. You put him with the right team and he could be your "Steve Kerr or John Paxson" on a championship team.

I still believe Morrison's ceiling is way higher, and he'll still end up a decent 6th man somewhere a couple years down the line. He just needs a year or two to adjust, in my opinion, and the Bobcats weren't necessarily the best place for him to go. I still think he'll be a competent NBA player.

Actually I think most people agreed that the Bobcats were the perfect place for Morrison before the draft.

Morrison can still be good. Next year will be interesting. His freshman year in college wasn't very impressive either. Not sayin he will suddenly balloon up to a 29 PPG scorer in the NBA (that is very VERY far fetched at this point) but Morrison he is a very motivated individual.

I still think Morrison can play a Sean Elliot type role on the offensive end (complement scorer). This was my projection of him in the pros before the draft. He will probably never succeed in a dominant scorer role in the NBA. The things he got away with in college he can't in the pros.

Korver knows his niche. If he was on the Suns he would probably break Ray Allen's 3 pointers made record. As a sniper he is just nasty.

Re: who will be better? Adam Morrison or Kyle Korver?

If the suns can trade boris diaw for korver that would be ideal. Korver could start at SF and just shoot 3's all day long. He's also a underrated passer so he can actually play a point forward type role ala diaw at times too. I don't think people give Korver enough credit for other aspects of his game just because he's such a good shooter. Several have said he wouldn't be in the NBA if it weren't for his shot but he's actually a good passer, and at 6'7 and strong he actually is able to post up smaller defenders and score with efficiency. His post game is similar to Dirk's actually. If people actually watch him play they would notice how well-rounded he is.

I think Korver can be as good a player as Mike Miller. Their game isn't that similar as Miller is a better slasher and their biggest similarity is their ability to shoot, but I think Korver will be as good as Mike Miller impact wise. He can become one of the better starters in the league.

Morrison is a tough call. He had an extremely inconsistent rookie season(well, he was consistently bad) and struggled to shoot over .400 on most nights. Still, if he somehow adjust to the NBA and those shots start falling, he can be an effective player. Maybe a poor man's Wally Scerbiak post injury, which is primarily a perimeter shooter. I think he may be effective, but will be one dimensional.

It's been ten years, and I say if Michael Jordan chose to still play the game of basketball, he'd dominate.
