Correction: just checked and he led the NBA with half of that, 8.6.

I think I remember hearing Wilt averaged over 16 for a playoff series, not a regular season.

Magic Johnson's single game record was 24 assists (if you don't consider him a PG). I'm not sure if any non PGs bested that mark.

This just strengthens the case that Wilt's crazy numbers were just a product of his weak competition. Come on, leading the league with 8.6 assists? I mean if he had 10 assists or something maybe, but not a single PG dishing out 8.6 assists is kinda sad.
