Re: Top 5 Low-Post Players, Offense
lol, that Yao Ming is a regular Kevin Garnett, pulling up the 20 footer off the dribble.

Did you not just watch him lose a first round series because all he does is take turnaround fadeaway 17 footers?

Re: Top 5 Low-Post Players, Offense
^ Did you not watch the Rockets-Magic game this year in which Yao scored 37 points on 22 shots, and pretty much had his way in the post against Howard and Milicic? Or the one last year in which he beat them with the same baseline spin move about five times and finished with something like 30 points on 11 shots?
And btw, Yao got to the line 11 times per game against the Jazz and did not manage to make very many of his jumpers. He was bricking that fadeaway. He got most of his points going to the basket.

You clearly haven't watched him play much. He scores a ton of points with his jump hook and spin moves and from the line. If he's not primarily a low post player, then Duncan isn't either, and neither was Hakeem Olajuwon. Let alone Gasol and Amare.

I didn't watch the series, but I believe Curry is the better post player all in all. Yao could be dominate be he settles too often for 10 and 12 feet away when he could be finishing at the basket. Curry is a load inside, regardless of the fact that he doesn't have a midrange game.

I understood the question.
Yao doesn't belong on either one, at least not over the entire course of this past season. He would've made the first list at points this year.

Yao scores in the low post more than Curry and Duncan?

Going to the basket? Yao never goes to the basket. He either shoots from where he shouldn't be or, at best, catches it downlow, takes his sweet time, and awkwardly puts it in or gets fouled. He's not Bosh or Amare.
Don't get me twisted though. I still think he's the best center in the game. He's just not consistently dominant like he should be.

Bosh? Chris Bosh is a face up jumpshooter more than anything.
