All Coaches Team v.s. All Executives Team: Who would win?

If teams were made up of coaches (assistants included) and execs playing in their prime, which team would win??

Team Coach:
C - Kareem Abdul Jabbar (LA Lakers (A))
PF - Moses Malone (Philadephia (A))
SF - Alex English (Toronto (A))
SG - Adrian Dantley (Denver (A))
PG - Isiah Thomas (New York)

Bench:
Doc Rivers (Boston)
Scott Skiles (Bulls)
Avery Johnson (Dallas)
Terry Porter (Detroit (A))
Bob McAdoo (Miami (A))
Bill Cartwright (New Jersey (A))
Byron Scott (New Orleans)
Patrick Ewing (Orlando (A))
Maurice Cheeks (Philadephia)

This team is so deep that Sam Mitchell and Nate McMillan don't make the cut. The team is loaded in the 1 and 5 position, but a bit weak on the wing.

Team Exec:
C - Kevin McHale (Minnesota)
PF - Dominque Wilkens (Atlanta)
SF - Larry Bird (Indiana)
SG - Elgin Baylor (LA Clippers)
PG - Isiah Thomas (New York)

Danny Ainge (Boston)
Joe Dumars (Detroit)
John Paxson (Chicago)
Danny Ferry (Cleveland)
Rex Chapman (Denver)
Chris Mullin (Golden State)
Willis Reed (New Orleans)
Steve Kerr (Phoenix)

An undersized team, but loaded with talent. Can their scoring power make up for their size disadvantage against the coaches? And yes, Isiah will be up against Isiah. Also, since Michael Jordan is not really a main executive for the Bobcats he's left out of the tournament (and it wouldn't be fair to have him in anyway).

Winner of this match gets to take on the All-Analyst team, lead by Magic, Charles, and Bill Walton.

Re: All Coaches Team v.s. All Executives Team: Who would win?

Haha...nice idea.

I think the executive team has to start Willis at the 5, move McHale to the 4, and bring Nique off the bench for some instant offense. Otherwise Kareem and Moses will just abuse them. (could happen anyways, but that mitigates it a little.)

The Coach team is stronger inside with Kareem/Moses/McAdoo/Ewing, but the Exec team is more talented on the perimeter with Bird, Baylor, Nique, Mullin, but their best guys really all play the 3, gonna be hard for them to all play at once. I think the Coach team takes it with their power inside and just enough shooting and playmaking on the perimeter to keep the D honest.

The analyst team is gonna be fun though...a lot of talent there.

Executives aren't deep enough. Their starting lineup is nasty though. Isn't Bob Lanier doing something with a team? He's a good fit.

Isn't Michael Jordan an executive?

He's not listed as part of the main executive team if you go by listings on any web site. He has a title, but he's more of a consultant if anything.

Rex CHapman is a scout as I understand it.Actually Kareem is more like a consultant than a coach...You could argue the semantics on half those guys.

Honestly I just went by the team listing from Hoopshype Rex is listed as VP of Player Personnel.

I think the exec team can take this without Jordan anyway, so lets just leave his Airness out of this match

here's an example:
You have a gorgeous girl that gives you all the oral sex and foreplay you want, but no actual sexual intercourse. Shoot, of course you get the glamour of being with a top notch girl, but you don't quite feel complete and satisfied. There's no shame "sealing the deal" with another girl who isn't as pretty, but heck.. at least you got to tap that booty.

Luckily for the coaches, he stepped down from Memphis and has yet to sign on to a new full time role

Michael Jordan is the Managing Member of Basketball Operations for the Charlotte Bobcats, a member of the Bobcats Executive staff. Don't believe me threadstarter? http://www.nba.com/bobcats/0607_executive_bios.html

It's true, Jordan does have a job...

Quote:
MICHAEL JORDAN
Managing Member of Basketball Operations

An NBA legend who virtually rewrote the league’s record book, Michael Jordan joined the Charlotte Bobcats ownership group in June 2006 and will use his basketball expertise while serving as the team’s Managing Member of Basketball Operations. Jordan enjoyed a stellar 13-year career with the Chicago Bulls and topped the NBA in scoring a record 10 times. His career scoring average of 30.1 points is the highest in NBA history and, with 32,292 points, he ranks third on the all-time scoring list.
Jordan led Chicago to six NBA Championship titles and was named NBA Finals MVP during each of those series. A five-time NBA MVP in the regular season, he became the only player to win back-to-back regular season and Finals MVP awards when he accomplished the feat in 1990-91 and 1991-92.
A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, Jordan burst onto the national stage as a freshman at the University of North Carolina, leading the Tar Heels to the 1982 NCAA Championship with a dramatic game-winning shot against Georgetown. Following a standout college career during which he was a two-time College Player of the Year and First Team All-America, Jordan was chosen by Chicago with the third pick of the 1984 NBA Draft.
Jordan is a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner, most famously as a member of the 1992’s “Dream Team.”
Off the court, Jordan has also proven to be a successful businessman. Since its creation, his Jordan Brand (an elite division of NIKE) has been an innovator of athletic shoes and apparel. Brand Jordan has grown to become a market leader under Jordan’s creative design input.
As one of the world’s most popular and recognizable figures, Jordan’s endorsement portfolio includes Gatorade, Upper Deck and Hanes, among others. In 2004, Jordan formed Michael Jordan Motorsports as a result of his passion for motorcycle racing. Among Jordan’s other business ventures are several thriving restaurants.
Jordan supports many charitable causes including the James R. Jordan Boys and Girls Club in Chicago, the Jordan Institute for Families at the University of North Carolina, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and many others through the M & J Endowment Fund. His annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational golf tournament has raised more than $2 million for several worthy charities since its inception.
