I'd probably watch any of those 1st round series' except maybe Chicago/NJ. There would probably also be a major upset alert with Detroit and Toronto.

Actually the Nets killed the Bulls last season plus they add the experience factoer so ifr that matchup were to happen the Nets could upset the Bulls.

Re: Basketballforum's 07-08 predictions - Eastern Playoff Teams
Anyone can call me a homer or whatever but I dont think I am. Why? Because I am not hyping up NJ Im just saying that I think boston will suck yeah I said it. I think Boston will not have a better record than the Nets. Whoever wins the bet gets to choose the losers avatar and sig for a week. I only have Nj winning 47-51 games and thats not to much of a strech but I have Boston winning about 45.

Call me "delusional", but I'd say they're all still pretty damn good.

Peirce is not entering his prime. This is one of his last years in his prime. ray Allen had all the touches he wanted last year so did KG. I dont think these players can co-exist especially when they have nobody on the bench and Rondo and Perkins as the other starter. Besides perhaps Posey everyone else on the Celtics would get 0 minutes on a championship team.

Well, he had the shoulder and knee fixed on May 15, 2007, and the doctors said that it would be best if he carried out the 4-6 month recovery time to the maximum (meaning six months, returning to play on November 15th, 2007). That would mean he'd miss the first 7 games of the season.

And who on New Jersey's bench would be getting minutes on a championship team? Jason Collins? Boki? Don't kid yourself, dude. Just because you're better than New Jersey doesn't mean you're a championship contender.

Re: Basketballforum's 07-08 predictions - Eastern Playoff Teams
You do know that Paul Pierce turns 30 next month (Which makes him younger than VC by about 9 month), he still has a good 3-4 years of all-star level basketball left in him. You can argue that Ray Allen is a bit over the hump, but saying KG is anything less than a top 3 big man in the league today is just ridiculous.

Jason Collins is one of the best low post defenders in the league. You are telling me a guy that can effectively guard most centers in the league wont get minutes on a championship team. The problem with Collins has always been him playing starter minutes when he is best suited to coming off the bench.
Boki Nachbar shot over 40% from the perimeter last year. A very versatile 6'8 player that can give you minutes at the 3 and 4 will definitely be off use in the playoffs. You know whats funny and this is no swipe at you being a Jazz fan, but if you consider your team a championship contender, are you telling me that these two guys cant help your bench?

Re: Basketballforum's 07-08 predictions - Eastern Playoff Teams
I never said my team was a championship contender. Only you have, so far.
I'm saying that the homer Nets fan in here is claiming that Boston's 3 best players are washed up, their bench sucks, and that amidst their suckiness he tries to mask his homerism by saying they're a 45-win team.
