Re: Exclusive: Lakers and Suns are in discussions about a deal -- a blockbuster deal
Marion/Barbosa/Atlanta pick/2 future Phoenix picks for Kobe is the only deal Phoenix should be after.

Cant see that happening, but Nash, Kobe, Amare would be sick.

These two could be playing alongside in the post this coming season.

yes, crush their championship hopes......
I think their only hopes are to make it to the second round in a dream scenario.

Marion and AK47 need to play on the same team somehow. Please, basketball god, make this happen so the two whiniest players in the league are stranded on one team.

Exactly. It's not as lopsided as it looks, because Odom will be perfect in the Suns' system, but I don't see any real gain for them here. They can only get worse in rebounding and defense. It just doesn't make sense.

I don't see this deal happening....and I don't find "The Sporting News" to be all that credible of a publication. I get it weekly (because it's free) and I find alot of their stuff to be semi-suspect.

Re: Exclusive: Lakers and Suns are in discussions about a deal -- a blockbuster deal
odom on the suns.. not sure if it will make them a better team. suns lose a defensive stopper and a guy who's pretty athletic/efficient.
lamar would seemingly be a good fit for a fast breaking team, but im not sure it's worth what marion brings. by losing marion, they're losing a finisher on the break.. by gaining odom, they're gaining someone who can run it.
let's not forget how much of a big finisher marion is on the break.. besides him, they'd only have amare as a good finisher, and maybe barbosa.. doesn't leave many options for the team.
