Baron the franchise player? Baron's been there for what 3 years? J-rich has been there his whole career and been the best player there both offensively and defensively (don't argue with me on this it's a fact). Look at how badly the Warriors are playing now. Not a bust? A player who's drafted top 10 in one looks to be a very good draft class who's looking like he'll get his *** shipped to the d-league is generally considered a bust. What would you consider a bust?
someone whos played out his rookie contract and hasnt lived up to the hype, they need to have been drafted in the top 10 AND THEY HAVE TO HAVE SUITED UP TO SHOW WHAT THEY'VE GOT. . go figure

Basically, every point you made in that post is wrong.
They are a team filled w/ redundant swingmen. So they dumped an overpaid one for a chance at a young big. Now maybe that particular big does or doesn't work out, but the reasoning is solid.
Eerily similar to the Caron Butler/Kwame Brown trade.

Not really. Brandan Wright can actually play basketball.

warriors wanted open up some space in the their salary cap, i suppose.
i can't come up with any other solutions than that the warriors are thinking of making some moves starting from next summer. i guess it's the same reason they didn't extent baron's contract.
the cap thing would be my guess and charlotte has as much cap as anyone in the league. brandon wright's obviously not a bust, but he was most people's nominee for most likely to be a bust out of the potential top 5-10 picks. the trade works for GS since they like their run and gun style with a lot of athletic wings and even thought j-rich qualifies, he doesn't shoot that well and takes up space in the middle as a post-up guard. if brandon wright bulks up a little, his game is perfect for the warriors. the free-up on the cap space also allows GS to resign a lot of their young talent like biedrins who they apparently love and will command close to $10 mill next offseason

- MJ ended up drafting Kwame Brown and Brandan Wright.
- Wright, like Kwame Brown, said that he could beat MJ 1 on 1.
- Jason Richardson and Caron Butler are both all star caliber players.
- It's early but the Bobcats are 2-0, the Warriors are 0-3.
- For Brandan Wright's sake, I hope he can play better than Kwame Brown. It is way too early to call Wright a bust.
And any trade that gets rid of dumbleavy is good in my book

Stupid trade for GS...Oh BTW how's that trade with Indy looking now?...Ike is developing very nicely, and Dunleavy seems like a totally different player under our new coach...I still hate his contract, but if he continues to put up numbers like he has this past week I could care less about it...
It still looks fine, as Dunleavy continues with the same kind of inconsistency (aka disappearing acts) he's always had and Ike is out for what... 6 weeks?
