Gary Payton vs. Dwayne Wade


Let me just say this. For as many times as Wade gets passed over as a PG, he is the same size as Payton and averaged almost 8 assists last year.
Wade is many ways is just a new school PG, who is basically good enough to score at a high clip and shoot a good percentage. In my mind this shouldn't take away from Wade's abilities and perception of his abilities.
WAde is a combo guard no doubt, and if people call Gilbert Arenas a PG, why not Dwayne Wade?

Wade to me is the pick for this one.

As far as playmaking ability, it's GP. Scoring though is another story, Wade definitely has the edge in that department. Defense goes to Payton with Wade having a slight edge in rebounding. Overall, I would say Payton in his prime was just a slightly better all-around talent.
