Re: The Lakers Make a Trade.....
Is this a move to clear salary for a Kobe move? Or did they pick up salary to help make numbers match in a Kobe trade?

Re: The Lakers Make a Trade.....
this moves frees up a roster spot.
From what i understand, the lakers are in talks with the bulls to trade noah, wallace and duhon for kobe and lots of cash.

Re: The Lakers Make a Trade.....
NBDL players are very important for Lakers, Ariza is an example.
If the Lakers don't win the nba, they need to win NBDL.

Re: The Lakers Make a Trade.....
I'm not sure what the hell some of you people are saying. Ariza is a good young player. IMO this was a dumb move for Orlando. Neither Cook nor Evans has a lot of long-term value for Orlando. This was total shortsightedness.
Ariza was out of place on the new Orlando team because he can't shoot the 3 and I guess SVG wasn't a big fan. But Ariza is an excellent slasher/finisher and a top notch offensive rebounder. Pretty good defender as well. And at the end of last season he showed bigtime improvement in his mid-range shot.
This move is kind of baffling. Ariza is only 21/22 yrs old.

Ariza can opt out after this season, and certainly will, so we'd lose him anyway. He doesn't fit the team as well. We pretty much gave up a guy that couldn't get off our bench for two players that will get off our bench.

NO way. Lakers are 7-3. Kobe and his Love-a -Bulls are playing 2-7. Why would Kobe want to be traded Fruity?

Doubt it. I bet Cook flourishes with Orlando. Shard and Hedo are benefiting even more from Dwights post presence. Cook is a very decent shooter, he'll like it there.
