If the Magic were looking for a big man, they got the wrong one with Cook. He's basically allergic to defense and rebounding. So basically one Garrity comes off the books, Cook is the full time replacement. Have fun.
I think the Magic gave up on Ariza a little too soon. They probably figured Evans can give them the production they were looking for from Ariza this year though, with more versatility playing the guard spot. It seemed like he just wasn't fitting well with this year's team, but he can defend and still has a lot of potential. We'll see what the Zen Master does with him in LA.

i always got the impression that maurice evans and trevor ariza were similar players, so they must have done this trade just to get rid of cook.
