Lakers are seriously good
Smoking pacers tonight with everybody contributing.
You look at Bynum, Farmar, and Radmanovic off the bench. Bynum is developing into a star this year.
Radmanovic was a starter and serious scoring threat when Seattle used him on a team that was pretty good.
Farmar is just playing smart, athletic PG basketball.
The Lakers are actually deep at PF spot with Mihm, Kwame, Turiaf, and Bynum rotating.
You look at their roster and the big difference is everyone is way more athletic then past Laker teams.
Today they also sent Brian Cook away, who was basically worthless for them, and got Trevor Ariza who might contribute to the Lakers defense.
They are making all the right moves and smart plays on a pretty tough early season schedule.
Wins against Detroit, Utah, Phoenix, and Houston. Those are good teams hands down.
I'm so impressed with the Lakers I'm thinking Bynum, Mihm, and Kwame can keep the Lakers frontline strong they have serious shot against anybody in the league.

Re: Lakers are seriously good
Bynum and Radmanovic started tonight, but yeah, everybody was absolutely on fire.
Too bad we gave up so many points, though!
Farmar is looking like a legitimate weapon and Bynum is a threat down low. I'm looking forward to Ariza joining the team, and hopefully Ronny's ankle gets better soon because he really didn't look like himself tonight after sitting out two games.

Re: Lakers are seriously good
The thing has bumped them up is all the guys that were younger and need to develop(farmar, Bynum) are stepping up now.
This allowed the Lakers to bump the bottom-barrel reserves (Sasha, Cook(gone)) back down the ladder.
I look forward to the Lakers succeeding hugely this year. They might be a top 5 team out West now, which says a lot.
To me it pretty much rides with Andrew Bynum/Jordan Farmar and the Lakers staying healthy.
Bynum is a legitimate double-double guy playing 25mpg. That is unreal!!!

Re: Lakers are seriously good
1 question:
Are the Lakers the west bottom playoffs team?
Projection:
6 seed: Rockets
7 seed: Nuggets
8 seed: Lakers
It'd be different story if Lakers were in the east.

They're automatically better for getting rid of cook's horrible ***.

Re: Lakers are seriously good
What I think will set the Lakers apart from most eams is the rebounding. We have great rebounding. If I remember correctly, we're 1st in the league in rebounding. That's cause we've got two 10 rebound a night guys in Odom and Bynum. Also, Turiaf is fierce and never gives up on the boards and Kobe is a great rebounding guard. He can really get up there and when he puts his mind to it he can snatch a lot of rebounds. Farmar doesn't seem like he can rebound but he's pretty good for a point guard, I mean, he does have like a 42 inch vert.

Re: Lakers are seriously good
They will come back down to earth. They looked great at the beginning of last season as well. Yes, injuries doomed them. However, the larger issue is their chemistry. Can they really maintain a positive vibe throughout the season? The first long road trip will test this team and I don't think they will come through with flying colors.
