Re: Is back-to-back game an excuse?
The Rockets last night showed how tired they really were. They had the Suns the night before, then the Warriors on back to back. It was clearly visible on how tired they really were.

It's 90% mental and the other 50% physical.

Its 80% mental and 40% physical if you're quoting Little Giants.

Re: Is back-to-back game an excuse?
Back to back games are not an excuse for losing, but it can be an excuse for performing worse than usual.w

Re: Is back-to-back game an excuse?
Absolutely it is. It's something we take for granted as fans.
When you're getting into a foreign town (figuratively speaking) during the early hours of the morning (for example, the Celtics at 4.30am in Miami today) and not sleeping in your own bed, it's got to make a difference.

Some elite teams are good on the tail ends of back-to-backs. Some aren't.
That would mean this statement isn't true

Being able to win on the second night of back-to-backs is part of being a good team. The elite squads have no problem doing it.

Re: Is back-to-back game an excuse?
If San Antonio has a problem winning on the second night of back to backs then that is on them. Playing two nights in a row isn't an excuse and it doesn't make it OK to lose games you should win. Teams have proven you can win, so if you can't then it's a problem with your team, not the schedule.

Re: Is back-to-back game an excuse?
To me, the back to backs are not big deals, but when it turns into 4 games in 5 nights or 5 in 8 nights, I think it takes it's toll on a team.
