Re: Carmelo, still a *****
Vujacic was laughing with teamates on the bench though.
and giving high fives!
It was most def an intentional FLOP.

I saw it as it happened, but wonderful assumption. Your logic astounds us all. ***.
I don't know whether he flopped or not. He may have exaggerated it, but what the hell was Carmelo doing with his hand at his throat anyway?

If you think he may have exaggerated, why the hell did you make the thread?
Vujacic cut baseline and Carmelo put his arm up to stop him - it happened to land on his throat. Carmelo's mistake was pushing Vujacic, which made the whole thing seem really bad. But that's why you watch something and understand it before you fly off the handle. But I guess that's what happens when you let your anti-Nugget sentiment drive your posts.

Re: Carmelo, still a *****
Hahahaha, anti-Nugget. Holy crap, you're just spewing the bull**** today, huh? Please, for your sake, don't make any predictions. We've all seen where they go.
What I saw was Sasha standing in the corner WALKING down the baseline, and Carmelo's hand on his throat, then Carmelo pushing him to the ground and getting ejected.
How, exactly, do you put your hand up to somebody, have it "happen" to land on their throat, then push them over... and expect me to believe it was all an accident? The Lakers were embarassing the Nuggets and Melo is an idiot, so he decided to do what he does best - take a cheapshot.
I'm not flying off the handle. One Kobe Bryant was suspended twice for "accidentally" hitting somebody in the face with his arm after getting blocked on a jumpshot. I have an easier time believing that was an accident than somebody "accidentally" putting their hand on somebody's throat and pushing them to the ground.
I'm not quite sure how you can flop like hell when you get pushed and somebody is holding your throat. If you call flopping falling on the ground... then I guess, but what the **** was Melo even doing? He was being a *****. Stop trying to deny it.

Re: Carmelo, still a *****
Carmelo is a cheap shot artist now? Right.
Carmelo didn't grab Vujacic by the throat, which is the whole key here. He put his hand up to stop him from cutting down the baseline, and it happened to land on his throat. Like I said before, he pushed him for whatever reason. I'm not really sure why he did that. It was stupid as hell. Nonetheless, Vujacic flopped. How can you base your opinion on a reaction that was completely fabricated?
You constantly make anti-Nugget posts on this board. Whenever you get a chance, you pile on the team. I don't know why Carmelo has the reputation he does. He was stupid and threw a punch in New York. Aside from that, he's never done anything dirty. It's not like he's Kobe, or Nocioni, or any player on the Jazz. Given his "dirty" reputation, want to explain why he didn't get suspended?

Fabricated? Ummm... what? Wait, a guy pushes somebody while having their hand on their throat (holding it.. whatever, nobody can really distinguish the two), and the guy falls to his knees while it all happens. Let me invite a 6'7", 230 pound dude over to your house and let's see what happens when he pushes you. Are you going to fall over?

I do? I think you're just making **** up because the Jazz are a division rival. The only thing I've ever knocked them for is their team chemistry and incompatibility of parts. If I'm so anti-Nugget, show me.
Speaking of anti-(team), you're claiming that the Jazz players are dirty later in the post. And I seem to remember you saying Booz/Williams would never be a top guard/big combo. And, I also recall you saying that the Jazz sucked and were done in the first round. Care to explain that?

I said he was a *****, not dirty. And that's because he's been a notorious complainer about not getting playing time, whining about his coach, whining about not getting to be on the all-star team. And THEN the punch in New York AFTER the fight was over - then he ran away. All constitute being a *****.

Hahaha, yeah the Jazz are filled with dirty players. They get in fights all the time, huh? Like that one *******... um... Carlos Boozer. Uh, yeah, once he pushed a guy out of bounds during a rebound. That son of a *****.
Quit trying to stretch some irrelevant point. You're just running out of **** to complain about.
Based upon what I saw during the game, I probably would have at least fined him. The league is pretty inconsistent and illogical with their suspensions anyway. How a guy can get suspended for walking over an imaginary line during a game, but another guy can't for being a goon is beyond me. Any altercation should be an immediate suspension, or at minimum a fine, if you ask me.
I can't be expected to explain why a decision was or wasn't made when I didn't have anything to do with it.

Falls to his knees? That's where the problem lies. It was a flop, hence why the bench was laughing.
And you can't distinguish whether it was a hold or otherwise because you didn't take the time to really watch the play. You heard ESPN go wild over it, and you made the thread. Think for yourself.

Division rival? Are you serious? The Nuggets freaking suck. There is no rivalry whatsoever. I'm not toting the homer banner because it is a losing cause.
Your anti-Nugget sentiment speaks for itself. I'm not going to spend thirty minutes digging up all your posts. You know I'm telling the truth. If you don't want to admit it, that's your choice.

Well, the Jazz are dirty. That's been a fact for as long as Sloan has been coaching. Boozer and Williams aren't a top combo because Boozer isn't as good as his stats, and his defense is suspect.
As for the playoffs, I was wrong. I just thought McGrady would be able to hit shootaround-like jumpers. I should've taken his history of choking into account. It's not like the Jazz shut him down.

When has Carmelo complained about Karl? I assume you're talking about Brown. If that's the case, two of the three things you cite have to do with Team USA and not the NBA. And he has a case about the all-star team.
I really didn't have a problem with him running away. I understand this is a male board, and therefore everyone is into the whole nut-grabbing thing. Let's forget the fact that 70% of this board has probably never even thrown a punch. If Carmelo hadn't ran, it would've been a true brawl and he would have been suspended for much longer than 15 games. I think he knew that. Why the hell he threw the punch in the first place I'll never know. If Carmelo is a *****, I assume you consider Kirilenko to be a super-*****, right?

You keep bringing up Boozer, but we probably need to start with Harping. The Jazz throw more elbows, hold, shove, and generally muck up the court more than any team in the league, by far. Take it for what it's worth, but that's the truth.

Actually, I had a very legitimate point. Carmelo is looked down on by the league, which is why he gets officiated worse than any other top 20 player in the league. And once again, you perceive the situation differently from me. Vujacic flopped, and you already admitted that's a possibility. Yet you continue to cling to the notion that it was a dirty play. Pretty inconsistent, but that's what happens when you let anti-whatever sentiment drive your posts.
You can't be expected to speak for the league, but you can speculate as to why a person with a reputation like Carmelo didn't get suspended for "such a dirty play". I wasn't aware you could grab someone by the throat, throw them down, and not get suspended. Needless to say, that wasn't what happened. You just don't want to admit it because you hate Carmelo and the Nuggets.

There you go assuming what I saw and where I got my information. I watched the actual broadcast of the game and saw it as it happened. I didn't hear ESPN say a word about it.

The Nuggets don't suck, and the Jazz have had a very easy schedule to start the season. Winning the division is not out of the question.
I am far from anti-Nugget or anti- any team. All you're saying is accusing me of what I am, then saying that you don't want to bother refuting my statements, but then you continue to insist what/who I am.
I don't care if it was Carmelo, Kobe, Jerry Stackhouse or Ryan Bowen. It was a stupid play.

Oh they are? When was the last time they got into a fight or injured somebody? If you ask me, the Jazz are the team with the best temper that I've ever seen. I've NEVER seen this generation's Jazz losing their temper, not once. Even with the thugs of Golden State throwing them to the floor and trying to injure them. This team has always been calm and cool.
The only dirt that anybody has on the Jazz is Stockton setting back-screens on big men to free up Malone, or Malone swinging elbows when he gets a rebound. That was TEN YEARS AGO. The Jazz are far from dirty now.

What the ****. This already was a brawl. When it subsided, Carmelo walked in there and hit somebody, then ran off. If he's going to start ****, I'd hope that he'd stay around and back it up. Otherwise, he's a *****.

Why, because the team he was on was wasting his talent? Kirilenko was willing to nullify his contract to get out of playing in a system that completely ignores him. They change the system this year and look what happens. Any player that states he's unhappy with the system, then is willing to give up over $60M doesn't really qualify as a ***** to me. Fortunately we have a smart coach and a smart front office to keep him around and work with him | |
