Carmelo, still a *****
Anybody see the chokehold he put on Vujacic last night?
The Nuggets were down by 18 or so. Vujacic was back in the corner and tried to make a cut to the hoop, but then Carmelo grabbed him by the throat and shoved him to the ground. Needless to say, he was ejected.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him get fined and possibly suspended for this.

Re: Carmelo, still a *****
I saw the replay of it very far away and I couldn't clearly see what happened.
Does anyone have a better view of this?
EDIT - This is the one I saw:

Re: Carmelo, still a *****
Don't know if it was that malicious. I think he meant to push him, but not by his throat. And I think he was TRYING to make a basketball play.

Re: Carmelo, still a *****
If Kobe gets suspended for his arms hitting his opponents, Melo should be suspended for this. If not, it will only prove again that this league is inconsistent as hell.

Then he held the choke. You can't overlook that.

Re: Carmelo, still a *****
Comments from both players...
Quote:
"It wasn't intentionally done," Anthony said. "I hope people don't overreact."
When Vujacic was told that Anthony accused him of embellishing the foul by flopping, the Lakers' reserve guard responded with a bemused grin.
"I think I've got to give him a DVD of European soccer. Then he can really see flops," Vujacic said. "I think it was frustration on his part. He's one of the best players in the league. But we did an amazing job on defense against him by double-teaming him -- and that's why he tried to choke me. I was surprised that he grabbed me with his hand."
