Who's the Best? (Eastern Conference)
Top Small Guards
Raymond Felton: 16.9 ppg, 7.7 apg, 3.6 rpg, 1.5 spg
Chauncey Billups: 16.3 ppg, 7.8 apg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 spg
Jason Kidd: 11.5 ppg, 10.5 apg, 8.9 rpg, 1.7 spg
TJ Ford: 15.0 ppg, 7.8 apg, 2.4 rpg, 1.3 spg
Top Wings
Dwyane Wade: 21.6 ppg, 5.7 apg, 3.6 rpg, 2.1 spg
Caron Butler: 22.8 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.1 spg
Rashard Lewis: 19.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.1 spg
Hedo Turkoglu: 18.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.0 spg
Gerald Wallace: 18.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.8 apg, 2.0 spg
Josh Smith: 16.9 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.7 apg, 3.8 bpg, 2.0 spg
Joe Johnson: 22.5 ppg, 5.4 apg, 3.8 rpg
Michael Redd: 23.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.2 spg
Danny Granger: 18.4 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.4 bpg
Lebron James: 30.7 ppg, 8.1 apg, 7.6 rpg, 1.9 spg, 1.5 bpg
Richard Hamilton: 17.3 ppg, 5.1 apg, 3.8 rpg, 1.3 spg
Andre Iguodala: 18.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.4 apg, 1.6 spg
Vince Carter: 18.1 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.4 apg
Richard Jefferson: 25.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.1 spg
Paul Pierce: 21.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 5.1 apg, 1.7 spg
Ray Allen: 20.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.6 apg
Top Big Men
Antwan Jamison: 21.9 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.1 spg
Dwight Howard: 23.5 ppg, 14.5 rpg, 1.5 apg, 2.7 bpg
Shaquille O’Neal: 16.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 2.1 bpg, 1.1 apg
Zydrunas Ilgauskus: 14.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 1.8 bpg, 1.0 apg
Chris Bosh: 18.8 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.3 bpg
Kevin Garnett: 20.1 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.5 bpg
Now after looking at some of these numbers for the following players, it’s good to see some players are really taking the next step (ala Josh Smith, Caron Butler, Gerald Wallace and Danny Granger), while most are remaining the same, and some are playing over their heads (Turkoglu and RJ).
The thing that stands out to me is how weak the point guard position (not to mention the bigs are pretty slim pickings as well) is in the East. The East really needs more point guards, so here is hoping that the top PG’s in the country end up in this conference. Derrick Rose, Eric Maynor, Jerryd Bayless, DJ Augustin, Tywon Lawson, Sherron Collins, Sean Singletary.
Now they aren’t all future all-star players, but damn the East is struggling if I have to list TJ Ford.
The wings in the East though are pretty darn good. After doing this however, I realize why so many of the Western teams are better.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd put Calderon ahead of Ford. He actually has better stats when you dig deep enough.

Actual stats, not pro-rated stats. I thought about that with Calderon, but until he has great actual stats, I can't acknowledge it.

ford is underrated as a pg. and the west is better at pg, but there are really only 6 pgs out west better than ford(nash, deron, paul, baron, parker, and then iverson if he counts, if not just 5). of course all 5 of those(6 counting iverson) are all better than the 2nd best pg in the east.

Re: Who's the Best? (Eastern Conference)
I don't know what's the deal with Josh Smith but many people have said he is a notorious slow starter.
By being a slow starter do they mean the field goal percentage, etc? Because so far he has been shooting poorly.
But can't ask for more. Blocks, steals, boards, even dimes.
