Every team needs an inside/outside threat. Lamarcus is seriously becomeing a star player right before our eyes.
Kevin Durant is NBA ready. I think Portland should've drafted him and build around KD and Lamarcus.
Oden was OK in college, they all drafted him out of his potential and hype. But with a rising star in Lamarcus, whose more complete than Oden, I feel that they should've build around Aldridge.
Doesn't Aldridge already have a decent midrange game? He and Oden will be just fine together, and Portland already has a decent perimeter player in Roy.

15ppg 10rpg and 3bpg was just "average" especially considering that he did this with one good wrist on his off hand.

Yes, LaMacus Aldridge is a budding star and a great player. He has excellent low post moves and a very sweet mid-range jumper. Oden is a better rebounder and a better, more intimidating interior defender. The two have very complimentary skills and will be an excellent offensive/defensive center/power forward when paired together. Oden is the type of dominant big man that comes along about once a decade. Durant will be a great scorer - the kind who comes along about once every draft or two. He might even win a win a scoring title or two, but likely never win a championship - unless he's paired with an Oden level big man or multiple great defenders.
Would you pass on someone who was playing so well even with a broken wrist? Oden is the type of a player that can really change the face of the franchise much like Duncan was before. Luckily for Portland, Aldridge has been improving very well and i even started a thread before regarding Aldridge and Zach Randolph. I think Portland did the right choice because they are all set at 1 guard spot with Brandon Roy (though he struggles against great defensive players, got Bowened two times this season now) and have a scoring threat in Aldridge. It would be fun to watch how Portland will develop next season with a healthy Oden.
Ofc Oden is the better choice, at least by their performances in College. Oden is a complete center, he plays defense and has good offensive game, do you know how rare that is to find in a big man? Plus 2 great big men always rules. If they live up to half of their hype, theyll dominate. Not to mention the Blazers have Roy, now the only missing piece imo would be a good facilitator PG(tank for derick rose?lol...)
