Re: Josh Smith vs Luol Deng
wow i know im a bulls fan. but some of you guys are underestimating deng and overrating josh smith.
words like id take josh "easily" and a "thousand times" irks me.
deng has proven he can elevate his game in the postseason (which is important). i dont think he should be treated like a second rate player in comparison to josh smith.
just my 02 cents

thanks you. someone who has logic finally. josh has more potential because he's more athletic. but c'mon now, lets be real here. deng could be a 23 8 and 6 player in a year or two from now.

His poor 3pt shooting clearly lowers his overall fg%.....his midrange game is really not that bad. Still, he more than makes up for 3's with his blocks and steals. Meanwhile..... 2 stls, 7.5 rebs, and almost 4 blocks and 4 assts a game is amazing for a wing player.

Re: Josh Smith vs Luol Deng
I'd take Josh Smith easily because of his D. Offense isn't hard to find in this league. Defense is.

Then again, Barron has made 30 so popular so you might be right

Are you retarded.....? Not only is Josh Smith a more complete player, he is much closer to averaging those #'s then Deng is. Please stop dreaming.

Re: Josh Smith vs Luol Deng
Right now I'd take Smith. His blocking ability gives him the edge in my book. They are both averaging practically the same in points (Smith-17.2; Deng-16.7) with Josh also being the better in rebounds (7.5 to 6.7). I think Deng has more potential for the future and will be the better player in the end, but Josh is better right now.

Admittedly, I haven't seen much of Luol this year, but in the past I always liked the way he played the game, going back to Duke, even.

Re: Josh Smith vs Luol Deng
You have to tell me what it's going to cost to extend these guys.Neither of them are worth breaking the bank for.I'd also like to know more about Smith's psyche b4 I made a huge fiancial committment to him. Some of the things I read about him would make me think twice about hitching my little red wagon to him.
