Re: Josh Howard or Richard Jefferson?
Boki Nachbar and Sean Williams would also crack Dallas's rotation, but other than that you are correct. Nets need to get rid of Collins and Magloire and send for Dalembert or something. RJ is better than Josh Howard when healthy.

Re: Josh Howard or Richard Jefferson?
as i said before, your opinions are great and all, but in canada, specifically toronto, i see mavericks games more then i see any other team outside of toronto.. and i know what r.jefferson can do, trust me toronto knows, i just don't like him better then the mavericks heart, toughness & backbone of defense.. josh howard is the better pick, he brings anything you ask of him to the table, and tonight is just an example of him getting constant touches for 4 quarters.. he did not even shoot that much to put up 47.. it was a very consistant all around impressive 47.

Re: Josh Howard or Richard Jefferson?
Yeah but you got to understand, Richard Jefferson is the vocal point in that Nets offense most nights (seeing as that Vince Carter hasn't been that stready this year, nor his career), and Jason Kidd might want out of NJ.
While on the other hand in Dallas, it's more of a well rounded team, and where Dirk is in my guess, most of the time the Vocal point to opposing defenses, so Josh Howard can kind of fade to the backround and make plays.
Although Josh Howard was lights out last night.

Do you know how hard it is to average 25 points a game? 46% FG 36.2 3pt% 10.5 FTpg, taking only 17 shots to get 25 points. Thats an extremely efficient offensive player right there. Like Croco said, Howard isnt a shut down defensive type player so lets not make him something he is not. At best Howard and RJ are equal, but I give RJ the edge considering he has rarely had any off nights this season.
Close to 11 FTs a game from one player is nothing to scoff at.

Josh Howard brings the intagibles, and the intangibles matter when comparing two players that are in the same ballpark.
Josh Howard is a hustle, do everything, team player who wins. The guy reaks of winning and playing hard.

Because Vince carter was out for 5 games, the coach has basiclly lost it, and no one else is producing like they used to.

Besides, the Nets have had injury issues (Carter, Kidd, Krstic, Williams, Armstrong all missing games).
RJ has played his heart out in every game and he's the last person who should be blamed for the sub-.500 record.

Kristic would. Sean would most probably. Marcus might. Wright would be used a little for defensive purposes. The Nets still have a little bit. also if Boki plays like he did in preseason and lost year he would mos def make the rotation.
