When he was drafted he came out of the stands and Stern was kind of shocked... first person I remember doing that and it happened to a 7'4" guy. Actually Murhesan came out of the stands too.

Roy Rogers is way too high. Potapenko, Waltah and Wallace had better careers. Maybe even Knight.

the last 5 I havent watched or looked at their stats, so I just put them at the bottom, rogers wasnt too bad in his time in the NBA

Evans and Muursepp actually both had legitimate--if short--NBA careers.
Muursepp, I'd say, was the best of them. He played 83 games over two seasons, including 5.7 ppg in his 41 games with Dallas in 97-98. He was a decent 3pt shooter, at .421 that year. He has gone on to a very nice career overseas for a variety of teams. He is also the first--and I think still only--Estonian to make the NBA.
Evans was great in college toward the end of his career, and you might remember him from Blue Chips, the movie with Shaq and Penny. He played three seasons, with the second one split between Orlando and NJ. He got 4.5 ppg in 12 mpg that year. He also spent time with Minnesota, thanks to the Marbury trade.
Lauderdale, as noted, was HUGE. Spent parts of two seasons in the NBA and got about 3.5 ppg, but only played in about 70 games total.
Poor Rentzias never made it over to the NBA.

not to threadjack but... the 2003 draft stops at possibly chris kaman.
david west is a 6'7 fake power forward who shoots jumpers. nick collison will always be a solid role player, but never be considered 'good', pavlovic please, darko is a joke, luke and walton kapono?? and steve blake? too? seriously? at least include boris diaw over west and company...

Re: Revisiting the 96 NBA Draft
^ As for David West, he may be a fake power forward, but he's getting about 18, 10 and 2 on a 15-10 team on which he's arguably the second best player.
Nick Collison is considered "good" precisely because he's a solid role player. And that goes for every other guy you questioned: all solid role players. As for Diaw, you're right. I accidentally overlooked him. But each of those others is a legit, good NBA player. When you look at drafts, it's pretty rare to find that many contributing role players. I was pointing out how many were in that (and others), and that it (and those others) compete with 96 in that way. That's all.

Re: Revisiting the 96 NBA Draft
I think I might still take Iverson over Kobe. Iverson has been better than Kobe or comparable to him for most of their careers.
And I don't want to hear about Kobe winning championships. If they switched teams than Iverson and Shaq would have dominated the league while Kobe struggled to make the playoffs in Philadelphia.
