I'm not sure why people are scoffing at the Chapman / Jordan comparisons athletically. Rex wasn't as athletic but he wasn't that far off either. People don't realize what he could do pre-injuries.

Because it's such a cliched comparison to make. There are so many highly athletic players in the game today that we can find one whose particular brand of athleticism more closely resembles Chapman's rather than dredging up another "Jordan-like athleticism" cop-out.

It's interesting that there are now tons of caucasian superstars in the league (hell the last 3 MVP's have been caucasion) but they're not from the US.
Nash, Dirk, Ginobili, Gasol, etc Throw in guys like Calderon, Ilguaskas, Biedrins, Nocioni, AK-47, Turkoglu, Peja and there is actually plenty of depth in terms of white talent. Yet outside of Kaman, David Lee and Hinrich (before this dismal year) the lack of quality among American born caucasians is striking
