How good would this line-up be?
C- Chandler, Milicic
PF- Al Harrington, G. Davis
SF- J Richardson, James Jones
SG- Roy, Navarro
PG- Arroyo, House
This is from a fantasy game myself and a friend of mine are playing. Last year the two of us decided to see who could "make" the better team in a realistic expansion style. I've posted a few messages like this in the past. The two of us had a competition like this once before.
I had the obivious strategy of getting quality talent from cost cutting teams. For example, Chandler was basically let go for two expiring contracts (PJ Brown and Eisley)and two second round picks. Arroyo and Milicic were let go for an expiring kelvin cato and a lotto protected draft choice. In these cases if a team was below the cap they could have taken on the money from the contracts and not needed to send anything back besides picks.

Re: How good would this line-up be?
Pretty weak. You have no low post scoring, crappy 3 point shooting, and a terrible PG.

Not really just 2k live, although we do play each other with our teams on video games. Several years back some sports writer wrote how he would start a franchise as far as expansion. And my buddy and i tried to see who could make the best team being as realistic as possible. This is actually the third time we tried it. I guess you could call it a fantasy game, but its not like fantasy basketball. Its just me and him trying to see who can out do the other.

The low post scoring i'll give you, but crappy 3 point shooting? For 3s House is shooting 44.7% this year. Navarro is 39.2%, JRich is 43.4% Roy is only 34.2% buts that not bad. I was thinking they'd be one of the better 3 point shooting teams in the league.
I'll give you arroyo is not an amazing point guard, but his assists to turnover ratio is 3.45 to 1 this year. Also, when the jazz gave him his chance to start he put up 12.6 and 5 assists. Given the extra experience he has now, thats only bound to increase. Also, when your 2 guard averages over 5 assists you can get by with a so-so pg.
by the way don't think i'm bashing your opinion. i appreciate the input.

House can shoot lights out, however, without an inside game, they won't be able to get those looks that they get. Also, other than Roy, none of the guards can really take guys off the dribble. Richardson used to, but he doesn't anymore.
