Van Gundy, when calling Bulls games, has said smart stuff, like "Why are Gordon and Deng just standing in the corner while Hinrich dribbles out the shotclock", "Gordon should be playing point guard", and "They should play Aaron Gray more, bench Wallace".
He's a successful coach, and our defense would be at a level it needs to be to win. Skiles had the worst offensei n the league, Van Gundy would be an upgrade, especially with him seeing that Gordon should be the point guard.

Carlisle would work well with this Bulls squad.

Re: Skiles Fired by Bulls
This reminds me of when the Wolves fired Flip Saunders. It had 0 effect. I remember when the Bulls sucked under Skiles, then they had a good draft and were suddenly good, now they stink again. Skiles is the typical NBA coach, he has very little effect on the team's performance, whether positive or negative.

Re: Skiles Fired by Bulls
What coach doesn't shun players that don't play their style?
All in all the fault wasn't solely with Skiles, it's mostly Pax's fault. If he hadn't pussied out on KG, Kobe, and Pau, respectively, over the past two years, then you could look at Scott with some conviction and let him go, if you kept a team around whoever you got. But this team isn't built to get deep in the playoffs, they haven't had a post score for what, 3 years? C'mon.
And I suppose Carlisle is alright...he'll help them play to their potential, but this team's potential is the 2nd round, ECFs if they get a favorable draw in the playoffs. Blow it up.

Re: Skiles Fired by Bulls
I dont like idea of blowing it up. Keep what you got and go to the second round of the playoffs and wait for another star to become available, this time pull the trigger. Atleast one star seems to become available every year.

Re: Skiles Fired by Bulls
Oh please don't get Jeff Van Gundy if you want an improved offense... well, I guess it couldn't hurt to try.
Speaking of firing people, can they fire Ben Wallace?

Re: Skiles Fired by Bulls
Jermaine O'neal could probably go for cheap...Pau has low value right about now...Skiles was right, they could've gotten a star 4 if they tried hard enough.

Re: Skiles Fired by Bulls
Jermaine O'Neal would be a perfect fit for the Bulls, he is a low percentage jump shooter and he could wear a headband now that Skiles is gone, it makes almost too much sense.

Their offense is still perimeter oriented, no low post scoring and no true leader, Skiles is just the scapegoat in this situation. The team needs a trade badly

Real talk.
I don't like Skiles but you hit the nail on the head.
