How is Allen's mistake a reflection of Doc's coaching? Allen was playing well defensively the last few minutes and so Doc left him in, telling him NOT TO FALL FOR BILLUPS' PUMPFAKE.
not his fault tony allen's an idiot..

Detroit pulled the win because their bench is superior, Lindsy Hunter leading the huge comeback in the 3rd, in addition Tayshaun had an awful night 1/10 while Ray and House hit some huge clutch 3s, you cant expect that to happen in a series, it went down to the wire but wasn't decided only on Tony's mistake

There were only two teams from the East that actually won a title for the past 10 years.
Miami and Detroit.
Miami is not going there this year, so yes Detroit is Still the team to beat.

Chicago??
and theres only been 2 teams in the west to win the title, so I think the lakers still are the best in the west, even if they didnt make it last year, they're the team to beat this year! disregard the championships in between, right?

I suggest watching Celtics basketball before you post things like that.

Re: Boston enjoy your regular season spotlight
Well Celt fans, the only things that we are getting negative threads about now are things that "might" happen...
CAN Detroit beat Boston in a series?... possibly, but its just as likely, if not more so to go the other way

Re: Boston enjoy your regular season spotlight
Detroit is flying way under the radar this year. They haven't played a lot on national TV so I don't know if people realize how good they've been. For some reason this happens every year, people were saying before the season that they will finish 4th or 5th in the conference, they'll win less than 50 games, that their time is up. It's ridiculous.
They blasted Milwaukee last night by 45 and have looked unstopable over their last 20 games. The scary part is, they are only going to get better as their pair of rookies improve. Rodney Stuckey is still in the process of integrating himself after his preseason injury, but he already looks like a difference maker. He's a rookie of the year type talent and as he gets more and more comfortable the team will only improve with him. Some people didn't like the Aaron Afflalo pick, but he worked himself into the rotation immediately and has been very frisky. He's a Raja Bell/Bruce Bowen type defender only with a promising offensive game. Jason Maxiell hasn't stopped improving since he's entered the league and had added a really nice looking step back jumper to go with all of his other baby-eating tendencies.
Everybody knows what their starters are capable of, but the big difference is the bench. They are so deep right now Flip Murray can't even crack the active roster - and he's actually played well this year.
I don't think Boston is going to be able to match up with their depth this year.

Re: Boston enjoy your regular season spotlight
So long as Detroit doesn't end up playing the Cavs in the first round. Lebron seems to have their number in the playoffs. Are they going to let him run a layup drill on them again in important games again this year?
The East playoffs I think will come down to what it did last year. Seeding and matchups.
