Re: Halfway through the season now...
The full Cavs team is much better than their record would indicate.
I'm not as familiar with all the other teams (haven't gotten to watch as much league pass as usual), so most of my other opinions won't be particularly insightful.

Yes it really failed. They are leading their division, in 3rd place for the east (3.5 games back from the 2nd seed) and just beat a team that has owned them for the past 9 games. Magic have improved and are currently on pace for 50 wins. Looking at their schedule for the last half of the season, they will probably win any where from 50 to 55 games, which is 10 to 15 more than they won last year. Only thing stopping them from achieving a top 3 seed in the playoffs is a major injury to Howard.
Also I agree with the TC. Scott will win COTY if the Hornets win their division and win 55 or more games IMO. That has been a great turnaround for them.

1st Half Players:
MVP: Lebron
1st team for me
C: Howard
F: Garnett
F: Lebron
SG: Kobe
PG: Paul
The NBA has to be happy with the amount of young truly superstar talent that is around now with Paul and Howard making the leap to join guys like Lebron and Wade in the under 25 set.

With Tyreke Evans, Mayo, and Rose coming within two years? There's gonna be enough talent for every team to have a future or current franchise guy.
My 1st half awards:
MVP- Lebron James
DPOY- Dwight Howard
MIP- Rudy Gay
ROY- Kevin Durant
Sixth Man- Jason Terry
COY- Byron Scott
All 1st Half team:
PG. Paul SG. Bryant SF. James PF. Garnett C. Howard
2nd team:
PG. Kidd. SG. Roy SF. Butler PF. Boozer C. Yao

Re: Halfway through the season now...
Tyreke Evans a future franchise guy in the NBA? Not likely.
