Thaddeus Young
Does anyone else feel this kid will end up one of the 3-4 best players in the 2007 Draft? Just 19 years old and putting up nice per-minute scoring on 50%+ shooting. Also a fantastic rebounder. With his size, athleticism and skill, I can see him reaching All-Star level in his career.

Re: Thaddeus Young
He's averaging about 11 & 5 when he gets 20 or more minutes. Considering his play as of late he'll continue to get consistent tick.
If he develops the way I think he will, Iguodala won't have to be the focus of the team. Where I'm impressed with him is both with how fast he's learning but also offensively. He needs to add strength (lower body especially), work on his handle and jumper in the offseason. I'm really happy that the Sixers drafted him.
What's a bonus is he's receptive to coaching and a hard worker. Here's hoping he keeps improving.

Re: Thaddeus Young
I love his energy. He's obviously got talent, but I think he's also going to have the work ethic to get alot better.

Re: Thaddeus Young
Before going to Gtech he and Durant were near equals, if you up the Thad Young thread in the draft forum, there were guys who liked him more. He imo did not pick the right school (he was headed to Unc), at Gtech he wasn't utilized properly. The team wasn't cohesive, there was no offensive direction. That one year his stock dropped at a very high rate, he went from top 5 to not mentioned at all.
He has a very high ceiling. His bball IQ is just outrageously high for someone that's only 19, he rarely forces anything, makes all the right plays. He can shoot, rebound, pass, and defend. He imo can become a legit inside/outside scorer. Once he tightens up his ball handling he will be a problem. Teams like the Wolves and Sonics will regret not taking him.
Mo Cheeks just has no clue. Already this guy has helped win games for this team(Portland, Kings, and Rockets). When he has gotten PT, he has produced offensively. He hustles 24/7, and defends. Yet, until the past few games he wasn't getting consistent PT because Willie Green was starting, stupid.

Thad Young is a very bright kid (4.0). He is also a hard worker that is very physically gifted. I have no doubt he has all-star skills. With his work ethic and smarts, it's hard to doubt him. He is still 19. So young. Great future though.

Re: Thaddeus Young
I just cannot understand why Green and Brewer were rated above him. I made a thread about this during the summer. All three players put up the same numbers, yet Young was 18. Yes those guys were one successful teams, but they had more talent around them. Young and Crittenton were on a Gtech squad that was horrible the year before and took them to the tourney. Critt is another one who I believe will be a star.

Re: Thaddeus Young
Impressed so far - could be a very nice player for the 76ers if he continues to work at it. Hes already gaining more and more trust in the coaching staff, so he should be cracking the rookie rankings pretty soon.
